Can anyone confirm if there are any record shops we can walk into to buy the thing now, or is it only if you order by internet/mail?
It wasn't clear to me if our first member to get this from Piccadlly Records (Blunt Laser) just walked into their Manchester shop and got it or if it was ordered. Mind you I'm in London. Rough Trade still have it as "pre-order" on their website but I wonder if I walk in there and mention that they seem to be sending out orders by post, would they sell the thing to me there and then?

Long time lurker, just signed up to say I can't wait to hear this! Got it on pre-order but obviously not here yet :( Thought all the clips sounded promising.

Hey, I´m kinda new here,

Well, it would be preferable if all those who log on here regularly could get to hear it for the first time at the same time but that isn't how it has turned out Oh well

I have a feeling that a regular New Order fan who does not visit this website is going to like this album and won't be that critical but the people on this forum are going to be very critical and not like it that much, again it is my opinion and I could be wrong.

I pre-ordered mine from Piccadilly and they happened to get some copies in early so they sent them out. I'm sure they'd sell you one if they had any in stock but i think they're waiting for some. Worth phoning to check though i reckon.

Must admit, I just don't get people who upload full albums still in print and/or buy-able to YouTube.

Rare material or stuff long out of print I can kind of see the point but this type of stuff is crossing the line a bit.

Oh well, I guess the record label can only blame the retailers it sent stock to who decided to stick it on sale early.

C'est la vie.

EDIT: Bet those YouTube videos are gone in the next few days and the guy's account is toast.

It's really too bad these songs were on the shelf for so long. I like them better than the majority of the songs on Waiting for the Sirens Call.

My thoughts so far:
I'll Stay With You - Probably one of the best songs from the WFTSC/LS bunch. Could've been interesting to see it live (with Hooky).
Sugarcane - I can see this one getting a lot of heat from most here, but I like this one a lot too, even if it's not what one would expect from New Order. Lyrics are a mess and lacks a bassline, though.
Recoil - Some nice bits with the bass, but overall it's a mediocre modern NO song. Just another "Run Wild", except less catchy.
Californian Grass - This one has Such-A-Good-Thing-level lyrics LoL Still, I liked Barney singing in a lower key and I think I'd place this in a "Best Sirens".
Hellbent - Much much worse than the Total mix, which I'm quite fond of. The difference between the mixes shows how crude most of these songs are and how much they could be improved.
Shake It Up - This is bad even for Electronic. Hooky's lines save it from being 100% garbage.
I've Got A Feeling - Very beautiful tune, but also very different for NO in some ways. Hooky doesn't sound like he's using a pick during the low key bass parts; the guitar has a different feel to it as well. Reminds me of Sabotage.
I Told You So - The original was bad enough, but this is terrible. I'll skip to the first track every time I listen to Lost Sirens. Really don't know what it is that people like in it.

After listening to it about 8 times now, here's how I feel:
Sugarcane - My favorite track, loved it on first listen, going to miss this one being a single.
I'll Stay with you - Love this song, instant New Order classic. Would have been a single.
I've got a feeling - Love this song also. Easily could have being a single or a song to make the tour.
Recoil - I don`t like it.
Cali Grass - Again I don`t like it. Not working for me.
Shake it up - Cheesy but it works for me. Good album filler. I know it`s going to go down with Rock the shack, but I`m going to enjoy it.
Hellbent - I have learned to like this song. Great Album filler.
I told U so - This version works with this album.

I hope I`ll stay with you or Sugarcane gets played in their next tour. I think this album will get past over, but Barney might put in a song in mid tour like he did Brutal.

3 really good songs to add to my best of collection, I`m happy with it.
