I gotta say, I really love this concept. The color blocks change depending on which flags are used, so it becomes unique to distinct parts of the world.

Plus, in using a template it's both clever and lazy at the same time - pure Saville. Wink

is this the slate grey shirt you were talking about? anything on the back? t-shirt prices?

Yeah, that's it. Nothing on the back of this particular one. All the shirts are $30.

Audio seems a bit sped up which sounds a tad strange. I'm no fan of Close Range but must admit the recording doesn't sound too bad. If they play it in Toronto though, please leave it for the second night and put in Thieves for the first ;)

I don't have much to add to already great reviews here and the Rolling Stone article. It was a great show (I was up front on the barrier towards Gillian's side of the stage) and I was able to get some great photos and videos. The highlight for me was Your Silent Face with its video montage. I would much rather of had something other that Close Range as a new track but, after this many years, I'm just happy to see them again live here in the States.

Fantastic show!!! Back on the east coast, minus one iPhone, but it was worth it! Thanks to Jeb and everyone else we met at Radio prior to the show. Really pleased with the set. Loved the fact that KW1 was back and lo and behold, who called Atmosphere?? And the use of the Jawa video!!! Everything was well done. I could write a lengthy review, but don't need! Thanks to the band for a great night! Hope the rumors of a return next year are true!! I'd kill for a NO/OMD double bill....

I concur with those sentiments but did catch Jeb before he headed out for dinner. Unfortunately, I didn't convey how appreciative I am of the Recycle project. Met Murky as well. Radio was a good choice for the meetup, even though it was louder than the gig and hot as fuck. I would have liked to have chatted with everyone there but could only hear every other word. Great to see Sam after all these years. Special thank you to Mark for the badge. I don't think I qualify for Viking status (9 gigs, all within California) but wasn't gonna turn it down.

For my money, the Oakland gig was better than any New Order show I've seen since '89. The sound was excellent from where I stood (a bit too far back for my taste). The crowd was especially enthusiastic, and in good voice. I'm always impressed with the varied mix of people that come to see the band. The visuals were a mixed bag but that mirrors the eclecticism of their video promo output. Highlight was the clip for Your Silent Face. The setlist was satisfying enough. No use complaining about what wasn't played (okay, bummed about nothing from Technique) when most of what they played fired on all cylinders. If Close Range isn't necessarily a track you would pick, at least appreciate that they took the chance on throwing in a surprise. The glass isn't half empty, or half full. The glass is too big. People need to temper their expectations sometimes. Here's looking forward to 2013.

"We've never played this live, so bear with us," the singer warned before the band kicked into "Close Range," from 2001's Get Ready.

Huh? I guess if he means the current incarnation of NO, then yeah, OK

A band from LA named Run Run Run who cribbed Oasis' look and Jesus And Mary Chain's sound. They weren't bad.

Run Run Run are an LA band that Phil was in between NO and Marion. They spent some time in Mcr years back and were introduced to Phil by Joe Moss.

Think it's just the 2 Cali gigs that they're doing.

I thought they were trying to pull off a Foo Fighters and Beatles mix... though Oasis are a faux Beatles, so I agree it did sound similar...

This was the first time I've ever seen NO. Somehow, every tour they did just did not work out for me. First time at the Fox too, which I thought was a fantastic venue.

It was a little difficult getting to the show because of all the protesters on the street. (I turned down a side street looking for parking and ended up driving straight towards a wall of people.) I walked in to hear the singer of Run Run Run say thanks and goodnight. I was afraid I would be standing way in the back, but had no problems getting pretty close to the front of the stage.

I thought the sounds at the beginning was a little muffled and later on, some of the keyboards were not loud enough, but I was so excited to finally hear these songs live. I would have been happy with them playing more and have a long list of songs I would have liked to hear, but I'll take what I can.
