^Ta for that, D. Worth giving a spin. Wonder where all those Hacienda regulars are these days. Didn't think that new remix improved much on the orginal but cheers. I've been looking up some old REM stuff recently. Reminded how big their Automatic For The People album was circa 1992-1994. Of their later albums, i did buy and like a lot of Up from early 2000s. From it, this was certainly an eye catching video. Or at least back then it was.Stipe always had a pretty affecting vocal.

And of course i have to say RIP David Lynch. I watched Blue Velvet again last weekend. Doesn't have quite the same impact it once did but no denying what an incredible guy Lynch was. I'll watch my Twin Peaks : The Return DVD box set again when i get a chance. Possibly the greatest tv series ever. Way surpassed the original first 2 series . From Blue Velvet.

Doves new album. Had my doubts at first but after a few listens there's some cracking tunes. Cold Dreaming, Strange Weather, Stupid Schemes, Saint Teresa and Southern Bell .

RIP Clem Burke, drummer extrordinaire with Blondie. Saw Blondie a couple of times in early 2000s after they reformed, following "Maria" in 1999. Glad that I did.

I think Up was their last good album. It's certainly the last one that I felt compelled to buy. Glad that I caught them (once) at a last minute Brixton Academy gig, put on as a "warm up" for their Glastonbury headliner slot. Google suggests that that was as long ago as 2003. Crumbs! The Brixton gig was a mixed bag of big songs and "deep cuts". Just found it on Setlist FM. Track 17: Imitation Of Life.
