Unexpected. Not the easiest venue to get to and being London it’s train and hotel so an expensive night out, however I will probably go Or at least tr6 and get tickets, pre sale? Anyone knows

The date on the title of this thread is misleading. The gig is actually on 9th November, not 11th September.

Not going to bother going to this , I've been to Alexandra Palace for a few concerts previously, its a pain to get to, the main room is a horrible, soulless giant space (for want of a better word) and the queueing for bars and toilets is a nightmare. I'll wait to see what happens next year.

Yeah, the venue isn’t the best sound wise and I much prefer a smaller venue.
However, it is an impressive building and location.
I’m going to try and get a ticket. Why not, eh?

Didn’t go to the NYE 98 gig there but was in London that night which was quite a frustrating experience.
Only time I’ve been to the place was NYE 96 to see Orbital though we didn’t have tickets but somehow got in through a back window ! Yep it’s a bloody big cavernous space. Nice setting though.
Seem to recall the that night afterwards there were buses laid on for travel back to central London etc

I've been following that date format that I've seen on the site not knowing it was incorrect. What took you so long? Well you are American, so it's not wrong for you. Also as it starts with the year it kinda makes sense: year, month, day. If the year had been listed at the end, then it definitely would have looked like 11th of September from a UK point of view. I think the thread starter can change the title bits anyway, can't they? As for the gig: I would have liked them to take the MIF thing not only to Turin but other places such as London. Perhaps a couple of nights at a smaller venue like Kentish Town Forum, or the Roundhouse. This gig will be pretty similar to the Music Complete gigs with two or three track changes, and nothing new to promote. Fifty quid a ticket, Hmm...

NME (or maybe Melanie Maker) said the Temptation gigs were formula after Manchester's 'pressure cooker'. The box set was mass debated at http://forums.neworderon...sts&t=3429#post23211 - I can't believe there's anything we stil '''need'''.

As Hook's performance on The Other Side Of Midnight showed, we've only ever heard a small fraction of it. And per the other thread, I'd love the Decades documentary paired with a full performance from MIF as a DVD set.

Still got the Temptation flyer postcard from Reading 98 (in footwell of rear seat in car at present as fell off pin board during a move in January). Alexandra Palace was pretty good and only third time I'd seen them but the first indoors. Presume they played the main hall? Remember it being quite small although field versus room might explain that Thought the other week after reading about American gigs it would be good to see them again so will be in for this.

The missus bought me 2 tickets for the Alli Pali gig for my birthday (today). She sure knows a lot for a girl.
If I can’t find anyone to drag along, she says she’ll go. But I don’t think it will be her cup of tea as she says “I don’t think I even know one of their songs!”.
Should I educate her or badger a mate to go?😆🧐

Thanks for the offer but I found another new order mate to come.
Looking forward to it. Not seen the order since 2005 at Brixton. Will be interesting to see if they’re much different without Hooky but with Gillian.
Hoping they play a more random set list. Would love to hear round and round, the village, this time of night, dream attack, touched by the hand of god for example.

Thank God I didn't book for this and end up trying to pass the ticket on - going to Brighton to see Johnny Marr at the Brighton Dome the same night.

Whether NO actually will be on stage at 8.30pm remains to be seen, but that's the official start time. Don't get caught out.

Didn’t play any of my wish list songs but nice to hear Ultraviolence and Vanishing Point and Subculture. Barney was on fine voice and my only negative was there was a bit too much joy division songs played (including the entire encore).

Got to the venue at 2030. We missed the Start. I was expecting them to come on after 9pm. We was at the back to the left. Behind these girls who kept talking during the first half of the concert. Barny vocals sounded good. Love vigilantes was a nice surprise. Highlights for me. Subculture vanishing point bizarre love traingle perfect kiss temptation. I wish they would drop waiting for the sirens call. It felt out of place and dragged on. Can't believe they played atmosphere again. They always seem to play that at Brixton. I really want them to play here to stay or mr disco. I wish they would drop the joy division songs although decades sounded amazing even with barney getting the lyrics
