If possible I wonder if we could merge the "Ye Old Ordre" thread, the "more new album news" thread and this thread. They're all basically the same subject. Dennis, please see the posts about this on the "more new album news" thread.

Release date: September 25.
There's a short excerpt from "Singularity" on Instagram.
Very good news. And the glimpse of the studio version sounds amazing. |

The Digitalism track was Unlearn This Hatred wasn't it? Correct me if I'm wrong. So it's now a New Order + Tom from Chemical Brothers track. The other tracks they collaborated with Tom Rowlands on are: Singularity and Tutti Frutti ("a slow chic-y disco groove"). The titles remain intact since the interviews with Q and Uncut magazine a while ago. The Game ("started off as a folk song but then it turned into a jazz song"), also remains The Game.

Well for what it's worth, I just pulled the trigger on the deluxe edition vinyl box. I hope it's more than just each song having an extra 30 seconds LOL....I think it's kind of promising, maybe the 12 inch versions will be old school new order and echo the days of the near 10 minute versions on the singles.

I wonder if Q magazine got it wrong about three Tom Rowlands produced tracks. According to New Order.com, it's just Unlearn... and Singularity that were produced by Rowlands. No mention of his involvement with Tutti Frutti. Stuart Price is on Superheated though.

Pleased they've changed the font on NewOrder now site.More like the old Low Life font. Also, there's a single in August? "11 brand new tracks. New album on double clear vinyl. All orders will receive Music Complete HD and MP3 digital files on the official release date 25th September. Vinyl orders will be dispatched on or before 25th September. Instant grat download of first single available in August." Edited by user 10 years ago

I really liked the album title. Sounds as an announcement for us: hey, guys, calm down, we finally complete the record, thanks for the patience and now just enjoy it. About the artwork: well, I must to see the whole package: the format, the paper type, the printing, typography, etc, to perceive the concept in its entirely. But in a first view, seeing only the graphics for the front cover, it has a resemblance with the previous ones: Lost Sirens, Troxy, Bestival... Nothing really imaginative. But looks beautiful. And the best thing is: no "New Order" or album title written on the front. The new teaser suggests "Singularity" will be the first single. The excerpts of the track sounds good. Hoping the extended versions will get a CD or download release (I haven't had a turntable for 20 years or so) and the promise of a signed version, while exciting, makes me think hat the 'dispatched randomly' line on the email means something more like 'copies will be going to all our mates in the media', but whatever, the new album is only 3 months away - wahey!
