Noo! There's some old Chinese proverb that goes: If you save a persons life they are your responsibility forever.
By the um same token, if you get someone hooked on a tv series you have to keep watching it as long as they do. After all that seductive talk of Mogwai soundtracks and French-ness you can't just walk away!

I think we are getting answers. We know a lot more about Victor now. And the suggestion appears to be that each 'returned' person is someone who was killed - and not by accident. So it's as though they are back to haunt those who have done them wrong. Now there's a morality tale!

I got my biggest chill yet when the Helping Hand man did his "sing a song in your head" bit towards the end of the episode.

By the way that Chinese proverb is bollox and I think comes from a cheesy Kung Fu movie. Completely impractical for Doctors, Nurses, Firemen etc.

Watched the full set of The XX at Glastonbury late last night ( was rather drunk and missed bits on Sunday night) WOW. Just brilliant. How does she get that guitar sound? Best guitar sound in music right now.

the kids on the coach were killed by accident, weren't they? but all the returned were killed before their time...

yes, we do know more about victor. this is true.

there's a film that uses that chinese proverb, or a variation thereof, and i can't for the life of me remember what it is. that's going to really bug me now.

edit #1: is anyone watching the bastard americans yet?

edit #2: my post count is currently 321.

Luther was good t'other night. The killer crawling out from under the bed and the bloke being pushed down through the ceiling (though not disimilar to the sort of scenario Frnak Spencer used to get caught up in LoL) from the attic was almost like horror movie stuff

Well there seemed to be a suggestion that Lena used some sort of telepathic twin connection to harm/kill Camille (something happened on the bus involving Camille's panic attack, rather than the driver just fucking up). So maybe the other kids weren't intentionally killed but Camille was. And she's the one who is back. The other kids on the bus probably died before their time too but they haven't reappeared.

Does this hold water? (no flood related pun intended).

i thought it looked more like camille was psychically sensing lena having sex, and that's what freaked her out. i didn't get the impression lena was connecting with her intentionally, or even knowingly. the link - feeling what the other feels? - seemed to happen when someone (the boy?) touched one of their arms or something the other night too. or maybe i've just dreamt that.

I agree. I assumed Camille sensed Lena getting jiggy. And the touching of the arm thing.

Erm, i actually missed the very start of the first episode a few moments but thought i'd seen somewhere that the reason the bus crashed off the edge was a combination of Camille going hysterical and Victor standing in the road. Wasn't he in the road and the driver swerved to avoid him?Confused

Watched Field In England. Erm..... right, ok. Don't think even watching it again would leave me any wiser as to what it was all about. Still , you can't beat a bit of weirdness , alchemy , mushrooms and hallucinations set in an English field in the 17th century.

hello biggles. fancy seeing you here.

i ended up going out on friday and forgot to set up any recording, so failed to see the ben wheatley thing. oh well.

i did see 'before midnight' at the pictures. i always assume i'm going to hate the films in this series - they look so navel-gazey and i loathe weak-chinned cry-baby hawke - but then i'm always bowled over. this third one was very good too, i thought.

(and i drank booze and ate homemade bakewell tart ice cream while watching it. ALL cinemas should have these perks.)

Hmm so the power station is flooded. Up until yesterday we didn't get that explanation for the previous flickerings.
Water in the coffin - I suspect is Dam water.
By corpse shagging I presume you mean Thomas who just won't lie down (well, except on Lucy's couch). Lucy the barmaid - who has recovered as I kind of expected as soon as we knew she wasn't dead - certainly has an interesting way of gleaning supernatural information. Beat that Sally Morgan!
They had to end it on a sad note though with the parents who Camille had tried to comfort, hanging themselves as they presumably believed Camille's assurances that their son was "waiting for" them.
On a more positive note, nice to see Lena recovering and getting back to her clothes-shedding ways. More please.

they've been banging on about problems at the power station for weeks. FAIRE ATTENTION! re: the necrophilia, i meant simon and lucy, and serge and lena.

yes, i imagine you're right about it being dam water in the coffin. great closing scene. really looking forward to the denouement...

on a not entirely unconnected note, twin peaks-themed bar 'the black lodge' has just opened in canada. here's their bathroom.

My grasp of the French language has been soaring. In sharp contrast to my grasp of what is going on, which has been plummeting. Though i wasn't in the least bit surprised when Simon came back to life again.
