Hi there, I was trying to determine which 7" vinyl to buy to get the withdrawn mix; I'm getting conflicting information between the old worldinmotion.net website and discogs (WIM says the withdrawn mix is 3:46 but discogs says it's 4:05). Could someone please kindly clarify? Thanks!!

Could someone please kindly clarify? Thanks!! I bought both Promos of this record from The Record Peddler in Manchester from Mark Eastwood. Will check later today if time. Got the original withdrawn one weeks before release date of single as just wanted to hear sooner than you think. Happy days back then before Internet meant stuff was cheap and cheerful.

My original promo marked up as such by Mark Eastwood is approx 04.05/04.07. Bear in mind both the age of my Technics from 1994 and me 1958 could be slightly out.

Okay, this is a strange question: who is Mark Eastwood? I ask because one of my good friends from high school (late 1980 early 1990s) grew up during his very younger years in England, but then lived in my town in California. He is the one who introduced me to New Order, Smiths, etc. Obsessive, great taste all around. At some point after high school he moved back to England and we fell out of touch. I recall he did some DJing after he left. His name was Mark Eastwood.

This Mark Eastwood had a record shop in Manchester in the northern quarter. Think it was on Swan Street and near The Band on the Wall. But it was 1993 when I last went there so could be wrong..memory and all that. He had some great Factory artefacts and I used to write to him to get updates on any new items he got. Bought Argentina copy of Low Life from him.. Vida Pobre and Number 50 of the Promo Substance together with numerous Perfect Kiss promos and Videos in Blue Cases which he said were proper Factory promos. Found out later he had been a bit inventive with the truth of those but in typical Factory folklore print the lie and they will all believe it..Darling!

That's right, Mark was The Record Peddler in Swan St. I got the Joy Div Fac 2 Sampler for £30 in 1987, a lot of money then. He used to do Record Fairs but think he lives in Spain now. He knew someone who worked with ACR or Factory so always had access to rare stuff. No relation to Clint.

He also used to have the 'Twelve Inches of New Order' ruler and Blue Monday 1988 flicker book.
My mate bought 'Technique' on DAT from him. Seem to remember there was also a JD 'Substance' DAT in the display case.
Other things I bought included promo CDs, a '(best of) New Order' promo sliding puzzle and a video tape Mark had put together of various NO related videos. He had copied the Factory promos for things like Revenge 'Jesus I Love You/7 Reasons', 'Deadbeat' etc. onto one tape and sold copies of it.

He did a lot of under the counter stuff. I got a great ACR video of official and not so official stuff. I think it might have been his brother Mikey (Moist) who was the Factory connection. Worked with ACR etc and shared a flat with Ber'nard's future wife.

Don't forget Craig, he was the one with the videos at Record Peddler. I bought a few compiled VHS tapes from there.

Yeah, as a Red, I find it difficult viewing on Twitter when I sign in and see some of his posts. That was partly why I unfollowed Kevin Cummins, but mainly because he's a bit of an arse. As I've said before, I used to frequent the Peddler whenever I got into Manchester. I remember Mark as being a decent bloke. I don't remember Craig though. Interestingly, on the following thread from a few years back, Mark posted to say he closed the shop in 1992 and "and eventually sold much of the stock to a guy who took over the premisis (sic)" . I don't know if it's either he was out by a couple of years or my memory is playing tricks on me, but last time I remember going in there, I bought a '(best of) New Order' sliding puzzle. That had to be 1994. Maybe I bought it off the new guy, and my memory is just supplanting Mark's face over the top of him. Anyone know for definite when it closed? http://lwtua.websitetool...456844?highlight=peddler
