'Komakino' featured in documentary film I just watched 'B-Movie: Lust & Sound in Berlin', starring Mark Reeder, Factory Records' German representative. Great film by the way, also featured some footage of NO I haven't seen before. Highly recommend!

The Game instrumental featured on SkySportsF1 coverage of the Austin, Texas race. It was used on the Race show during a recap of the Qualifying sessions.
They used Restless during a montage a couple of races back. A no-brainer considering the car and pretty girlfriend lyrics.

Too bad about tonight's result, MUFC. There's always some good music on the Old Trafford playlist though. Track 9 on the list looks familiar.

Is that not a bastardisation of the Unknown Pleasures artwork? Used as screen image for The Stone Tape, coming up on Radio 4 at 10pm tonight.Halloween Radio Play version of the 1970s tv play.Oh, it's already available to listen to apparently in "3D Binaural sound " HERE. 3D Binaural Sound? Never tried that before but according to wiki "Any set of headphones that provide good right and left channel isolation are sufficient to hear the immersive effects of the recording, and anyone who has even a cheap set of headphones can enjoy the recordings" edit: listening on headphones now, it does sound pretty good actually Edited by user 31 October 2015 12:43:19(UTC)

The BBC F1 coverage had a small instrumental piece (Plastic, I think) from the new album last night.

New Order on BBC TWO (UK TV channel) on a Monday night - yet again. This time, University ChallengeSecond Round, Liverpool vs SouthamptonMusic round, three tracks from a now-defunct record label. The Southampton captain eventually guessed Factory records after hearing the first verse of True Faith. The pretty lady from Leeds (teaming up with Liverpool) has now answered 100% of her 1 guess in the contest correctly so far. Don't go getting any ideas, she's only 21. The live album sounds the most interesting with headphones on. It sort of makes you feels like you're sitting in the back table of a murky dive bar with a bunch people drinking around you. I remember posting this a few years back when I had a different screen name... Unknown Pleasures can be spotted on Worf's forehead: EDIT: Looks like someone actually made a t-shirt of this, haha! Edited by user 23 November 2015 13:13:54(UTC)

I knew both of those (and I guessed SyCo correctly too). Not often I can say that about University Challenge questions. It's on 14 mins for anyone else inclined to watch. Plus the image on the original LP wasn't nearly as huge. The smaller size in relation to the rest of the LP cover made for very stark and minimal piece of art. 99% of the shirts I see people wearing have it totally super-sized.

Driving down the road listening to cd mix of WFTSC, and LS, and dracula' s castle finishing as a truck with license plate 'crafty' passes me as Krafty begins. And later at the gym a guy took his shirt off a few minutes after I had just heard Avalanche. On his back was the word ' faith'. |
