I was lucky to go to both of the shows in NYC and they were amazing, they had the place packed both nights and the place was rocking. The place was so packed that you could not move. After the Thursday night show I went to the back door and waited for about an hour and also Zach from Neworderonline was there also, then Steve, Gillian and Later Bernard came out. Phil and Tom were very nice to talk to also. Here are some picture of me with the band, sorry for my Fugly smile. If the picture does not appear once you go on the link , just click twice on the picture and it will. Me and Steve. http://joonbug.com/media/EzNU7jaxh3P/img4042.jpgMe Bernard and Zach http://joonbug.com/media/nwtTLQZsZY2/img4045.jpgBernard with some fans http://joonbug.com/media/x5ofpIdRDeJ/img4044.jpgBernard leaving http://joonbug.com/media/C1jcluDEtPZ/img4046.jpgThen Friday before the show was the biggest surprise, Andy who is the manager took me back stage to meet the band, I was so nervous going upstairs to meet the band, I did not want to go inside the room and bother them but once I entered the dressing room Gillian was there and she said hi and introduced me to her family and daughters. I asked them how was there day was and what they did in NYC, man was I nervous, so we talked a little bit and they Steve came in and I said my name is Linus and he said I know you and Zach from Neworderonline, then after 5 mins Bernard came in, he had a glass of wine first then talked to me and signed couple of things, they were so nice to me, I still get goose bumps thinking about it. Something they autographed for you? Crumbs there's an understatement! Did you bring all those record sleeves to the gig? Sounds like NO were very generous with their time. I remember a time when they used to rebuff fan letters to the record company. I'm liking Steve's tough guy pose in one of those pics. Bernard still looks like he's rather fond of the vino... I'm liking Steve's tough guy pose in one of those pics. Bernard still looks like he's rather fond of the vino... Hey I had them autograph 4 sleeves on thursday night and 4 on friday night, I would never bring more than 4 things to autograph it would be rude, there was a guy on thursday night with about 15 sleeves and when Steve came out he signed all of them and also Gillian did, I think that 15 is to much, when Bernard came out he said try to Keep it to 3 things to autograph, again I am still shocked that I got to meet them backstage and still thinking about it gives me goose bumps, they play to thousands of people everynight and that they let me meet and take pictures with them, I way beyond thankful. |

I'm just jealous. When I spoke briefly with Andy after the Oakland show, he just gave me the skunk eye. Maybe it's because JG mistakenly introduced me as being from Los Angeles. It's great when you meet your heroes and they turn out to be sound people. I,ve been lucky enough to meet Steve, Gillian only a couple of years ago and they are really sound. Met hooky back in 1990 (can I still mention the g8 man) and he was also very friendly. Never met Barney to talk to properly but I shook his hand and got his autograph.
