Just wondered if anyone has any more information on this event:

http://factoryrecords.or...artists-video-circus.php

Also, I have seen bootleg lists (fans 'swap' lists etc.) stating that footage (possibly only audio) exists. According to these lists, the surviving footage is about 45 minutes in length.

Anyone seen / heard it?

It'll be 1981, that year has June 26th on a Friday.

The first two parts will be previews of footage intended for FACT56 (A Factory Video) and FACT37 (Here Are The Young Men), both were released in 1982.

I'm not really sure what part 3 would have included.

Thanks for this.

So, does anyone know what the circulating bootleg of this consists of? Audio (from the audience) of the event? Or professional video, perhaps?

01 NO: Ceremony (810206 Mcr Comanche)
02 ACR: Back To The Start (studio version - from promo clip?)
03 OMD: Enola Gay (live - unknown venue)
04 NO: Ceremony (801219 Rochdale)
05 ACR: Tribeca - a film by Michael Shamberg
06 ?
07 NO: Senses (810620 Glastonbury)
08 NO: Procession (810620 Glastonbury)

Some of the unreleased FACTUS 5 is on YouTube:

Ah, cool. Thanks for this.
So it looks like the bootleg is possibly from 'Part 1' of the event on 26/06/81. Or maybe from an another event on some other date.
All of the New Order footage listed above is out there in the hands of fans; 'Ceremony' from Comanche was on 'A Factory Video', the two Glasto tracks are on the 'Glasgow' DVD and I have a clip of 'Ceremony' from Rochdale. My copy of the latter is awful though; the picture is fine but the sound is dreadful. It's only about a minute in length too. It would be nice to see it all, so if anyone has a copy, could they wing it my way. :-)

Never seen those FACTUS 5 clips before. Pretty good.
I always rather liked Hewick. On a parallel Earth somewhere, there's probably a version of New Order with him as vocalist.
I believe he actually recorded two tracks with the band; 'Haystack' and 'A Piece Of Fate'. Apparently the latter is lost to time (sadly). I remember, when Julia Adamson posted that she had the Hannett tapes on Facebook (I think), Kevin asked her if they contained 'A Piece Of Fate'. Although I don't remember if she responded, the fact that Kevin was asking about it would signify that he believed the track to be lost. Shame. :-(

Thanks once again for the info.

The OMD track will be from Hammersmith Odeon (as per Electricity on FACT56), here are the outtakes:

That's pretty cool. Had seen 'Electricity' before on 'A Factory Video' but not the other tracks.
