A very good album I played during many months when it was released.

You should find some copies here : https://www.discogs.com/fr/artist/543289-David-Potts

Singles and Bsides are awesome too.

'RAM' transitioned to simply 'David Potts' after one EP (Songs On Page One) and a single (For Your Love). There was a gap of a few years between the last RAM release and his solo album (2004 to 2007). Most of the material written as/under RAM made it out on said solo album and surrounding singles covered in Discogs.

Quite different to Monaco (none of that bass for a start) but there is some strong songwriting on it and a couple of fine tracks. Hook even makes a low-key guest appearance on one track (Roll Up).

I've not listened to it for years but had it on medium-to-heavy rotation at the time.

Thanks folks! Kind of amazed his solo album was 2006. Where does the time go?

Got good reviews though I never heard it myself. I always thought the high quality of M4P was mainly due to Potts' writing abilities thank Hooky's - compare the sprawling, boring mess of 'Slave' to the focussed, strong 'Tender' (originally Revenge too) and you'll hear what I mean.
Fact fans, Hooky is on Roll Up but he wasn't in the studio with Pottsy - he overdubbed his contribution later.

I would have to double check, but I think Pottsy played all the instruments on the album. I’m the greatest was the best song on the album. He released a double single, Roll Up and Monkey in the rain, and Monkey in the rain I consider his best song but was not on the album.

He put around 4 new songs on his MY Page account. I think I have them on my computer. They were crap and didn’t go anywhere.

Overall a good album.
