Jonathan Demme, director of The Perfect Kiss video has passed away aged 73: BBCHaven't seen anything he did after Rachel Getting Married, and I didn't know he was that old, I always thought he'd be about the same age as New Order, but he made some cracking films (Stop Making Sense, Something Wild, Married To The Mob and Silence Of The Lambs among them) : RIP

Demme also directed the 1993 film, "Philadelphia", which starred Tom Hanks & for which he got the Best Actor Oscar. Also, I was watching an episode of "Columbo" earlier today, called "Murder Under Glass" (from 1978) & when the credits come on, it said it was directed by Demme, which I never knew before! So he obviously had a long & varied career, from TV series to music videos to movies. He'll be sadly missed... R.I.P.
