He's one of the more fun to listen to talk, so I hope the book turns out good. I've nearly finished the Butterworth book which I've really enjoyed; the latter part of which is pepper with excerpts of emails from Stephen, which are witty.

I've avoided all the "insider" books so far (except Deborah Curtis' which is a must read) but will be getting this one. It's the only band member written book I want to read… the man's ramblings are a joy to read/listen to normally. I suspect it'll be a poor seller though, people love the front men, don't they.

I'm really looking forward to reading Steve's book - his interviews are always entertaining and he's just a top bloke.
Roll on 2018...

Speak for yourself. This will easily be the better of all the bios released so far. If you read the article, it is not going to be simply another bio about band mischief and basic history like Hooky and Sumner released. Sumner was too bland and didn't offer much new, and Hook was more into criticizing folks and complaining about money --- Quote:Stephen’s book won’t be that typical music autobiography, which tends to be high on mischief and low on the music. Part memoir, part visual scrapbook, part aural history, it will be a hybrid memoir in Stephen’s wry and witty voice. Stephen will weave a dual narrative of growing up in the North West during the 1970s with how the music actually works. It will also explore what it is to be part of a mythologised band and the idea of what you do becoming who you are. I imagine Morris's will be more like an old school New Order release, bet it could have a FAC number... Edited by user 10 October 2016 09:49:23(UTC)

I meant no one cares what the fuck I think. But I-ll write it anyway. As I said before, I cannot be arsed with autobios in general, and yet another NO retread in particular.

Very glad to see that Stephen's book has appeared on the schedules again, with a new publication date, and a title... https://www.amazon.co.uk...hen-Morris/dp/1472126203

Can’t wait for this. It could be really good. He’s a witty bloke and all round good guy.
Oh, and he’s the best drummer ever.
