Does anyone know what the intro song is for this tour? They usually play "The Ecstasy of Gold" but in Austin it was something different. Not sure about ATL. As recent as the Jodrell gig was EoG but maybe this leg of tour is something else. There is a YouTube vid of them coming out and it is playing but I have no idea what it is.

Setlist.fm still lists Ecstasy of Gold for this gig.

Why the fuck they list a band's runout music as part of a setlist though is beyond me!

Occasionally I'll leave a gig wondering what the intro song was, so I'm glad somebody makes a note of it. I still don't know what NO's intro song was on the Republic US tour, and I remember going 'oooh, what is this?' when I heard it at the time. (If I heard it right, Barney was singing on it.)

Really? They're using My Name Is Nobody now? That's actually quite funnyLoL

The intro to that song was also used as the theme to the fantastic BBC black comedy series Nighty Night a few years back

They've been using this (You Tube link) a few times now (Moscow, Jodrell Bank and probably more), not The Ecstasy Of Gold.

It's from 'My Name Is Nobody' OST and is has different titles on different versions of the score ('Nobody Is Faster' on the US LP, 'If You Are Somebody, It's My Fault (Si Tu Es Quelqu'un, C'Est Ma Faute)' on other versions).

Oh, and Nighty Night used the main theme rather than this one, like this.

Ah right yeah i think i recognise the music from your first link and remember it from the Jodrell Bank gig. Did think it a bit odd, though amusing, they'd use the theme that was used on Nighty Night as their intro, my mistake. Thanks for rectifying.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea. I did notice on the gigography on new-order.net listed the intro for Moscow and Jodrell was EoG but I guess that is incorrect. As for the Technique tour I have seen they used "White Horse" by Laid Back for an intro at some gigs and sometimes the theme from "Rawhide" as well as random house music. I like the new intro, very dramatic.

At the Shoreline Ampitheatre gig in 1993, they came onstage to "TV" by Elektric Music. At the Hollywood Bowl show two days later, I don't remember any intro music. I think they just turned down the P.A. mix tape and walked out.

I seem to recall that the Hollywood Bowl gig they came out with an extended intro to Ruined in a Day?
