Not all the tracks on Let's Change The World With Music were solid, but it was a very welcomed return in 2009. It is a great pity that Paddy's hearing problems have held Prefab Sprout's music back over recent years. Look forward to the new songs this Autumn.

For now, please check out the extended version of their best single to date:

If You Don't Love Me Wink

I still prefer "Lets Change The World..." to "Andromeda Heights" which had too many ballads featuring sax solos for my liking...
Good song choice there, I see this as their most New Orderesque moment,
in fact it could be seen as part of a Holy Trinity of pure pop...

Was reminded recently that Paddy McAlooon did a solo album in the late 90s called I Trawl The Megahurtz that i seem to remember got rave reviews. Apparently it was, as Empress Lad may be wont to say, among his best work to date, mmmm k?

This is interesting track.Really like the spoken word thang all through this. Think the album version was 22 minutes long but this is shortened to 10

Two weeks ago, there was a 20' sample on Youtube (2' of each new track). Unfortunately, I can't find it anymore.

yes, that album has long had a special place in my heart and the title track is breathtaking. not easily available now, which is a great shame - perhaps due to its release on the emi classical imprint? the words/lyrics are pure poetry. if the rest of it is available on youtube (and i think i have seen it on there in its entirety since they lifted their ten min limit), it's well worth a listen.

i like the new album cover art. i'm hearing it's a return to classic PS form and style. should be a lovely addition to the autumn turntable.

Didn't want to spoil it when I go to buy the album, but had a twenty-second listen to both above YouTube clips, and are slightly-surprised (given Bowie's/Gore & Gahan's/Kerr's/and just about everyone else's latest material).

They both remind me of Rumours/Behind The Mask Fleetwood Mac. A compliment (to those who haven't been following this thread from the start).

I am resisting the temptation to listen to those tracks, I want to hear the whole album at once like what happened with the Lost Sirens which was no bad effort either by the way..
