Delta Machine by DM. Its OK I suppose but I dont get why they dont just use a drummer in the studio as they use one live and also why the fuck they think making music out of static is a good idea.
Its marginally better than the last couple but really not that different either. No matter what you read it is not a cross between Voilator and Songs Of Faith And Devotion.

'Sunshine'- Electric Music (Karl Bartos) I also seem to like Karl Bartos' singing voice (without any vocoders)...he has such a pleasant voice.

Its marginally better than the last couple but really not that different either. No matter what you read it is not a cross between Voilator and Songs Of Faith And Devotion. I read a very harsh review of this album recently by Andy Gill, he really can stick in the knife when he wants to.. Quote:The problem with ponderous electropop is that as soon as the meniscus of self-importance is pricked, it collapses into risibility, as on Depeche Mode's weakest album in some while.
The more melodramatically that David Gahan invites us to have him “penetrate your soul... bleed into your dreams”, the more the sculpted electronic backdrops seem like curtains hiding the puniness of the wizards wielding the machines. It doesn't help that amidst the rasping dubstep and electro-boogie grooves, there are fewer memorable tunes than usual.

Indeed, Empress lad.
Here I've just been listening to the slightly re jigged BBC News 24 music . I note the full on Techno stomp now has a slightly softer feel and a bit more emphasis on the strings. If you're lucky and BBC News 24 has a bit of time to fill before the on- the- hour headlines you can hear an extended minute or so plus of this new version .

Sorry to state the obvious, but the chance of probably the band's last chance of another #1 album has passed this week: http://www.officialchart...odes-delta-machine-2135/

Heard Primal Scream's new single just now on the radio. "OK,Alright" is it called or something? Sounded on first listen like something straight from their Screamedelica era, really funky, groovy and laid back.I liked it (on first listen)

Thanks again wrote:Heard Primal Scream's new single just now on the radio. "OK,Alright" is it called or something? I was slightly more excited by it then than I am now. The recorded version is so easy to get in to, i fear I'll be bored by it soon. Weirdly this is I believe, the first official single from the "More Light" album even though they already made the song '2013' available, and made a video for it.

OMD - English Electric. Annoyingly I find it better than the Depeche Mode album, despite Andy McCluskey still coming across as a right knobhead.
