Nothing will beat the original, hard floor mix is probably the best. However, although when I saw dig weed name as the remixer I did not expect much but this is ok

Utter shit. Once upon a time the names of Digweed and Muir meant you were getting some quality. That mix is toss, and misses the point completely. Should have let Richard X have a go.

The bit from 2.37 to about 3.10 is nicely done (mostly coz it sounds like the original), but overall it is a bit of a snooze. On the upside, at least there don't seem to be any Calvin Harris or David Guetta mixes as suggested by Hooky. Small mercies...

while it's nice to recognize this version, and being ambient doesn't really click with me. i did like this dubstep version from awhile ago:

This may be vaguely entertaining if you have the time to go through 30 clips. Scroll sideways through the photos for each clip. The Lee Coombs mix (well, crappy re-edit) is google-able even though they have the link wrong on here. http://www.vibe.com/phot...e-new-orders-anniversary

I listened to it and I thought it was horrible.... . I'm usually very open minded about remixes and covers (regardless of genre; I listen to a lot of remixes and covers of many songs, both NO and other genres) but I have to admit I like the original version from 1983 the best. Regarding 'Blue Monday', no remix comes close to the original.Edited by user 10 March 2013 19:01:12(UTC)

30 years is a very significant mark for this song. later -1

" So Hot" by 808 State is bad ass!
That dubstep mix is a mess.

Guess they've gone for a down tempo mix as that's about the only way it hasn't been done before. And there's a reason for that....this is dreadful, they've sucked all the life out of it. You may not be surprised to learn that only a minority of the original members were involved in arranging this. Edited by user 12 March 2013 00:24:22(UTC)

I always thought that the BM Hardfloor remix was pretty cool.
New Order themselves must have liked it, since they played a live version of Blue Monday that was mixed with the Hardlfoor Mix at the Alexandra Palace show in 1998. I think it's the only time that they ever played BM in that fashion.....

It still sounds good, even with its' generic dubby stylings. On the same disc, I always appreciated the Sunkist lyrics used on the "Brain mix".

Call me old-fashioned but if I ever feel the need to hear a remix of Blue Monday I simply flip on the B side of the original 12".. I wonder will the upcoming 20th anniversary or Regret be marked by new mixes.... And Confusion is almost 30 years old also..I could go on..

this is far better. guy is a real synth whiz, seems to have recreated most of the sounds himself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yewr1DNS5-ghis other stuff is well worth a listen if you like synth stuff, especially vangelis (take a look at his blade runner blues recording. better than the original IMO). his albums are great too.

I have to say this new 'official' 73-13 mix is beyond crap.
But then, I always enjoy my Neworder "up and at 'em" and "in yer face" not "falling asleep at the wheel".
Hadn't heard the BOB State mix before, which was a nice surprise, as was that guy linked by Spang.
I might track down my '?Rest of' BM bonus disc later, for old times sake...

Here is trance version on Youtube. Not sure when or how this was released. Not terribly cool but loads of energy, which that new one lacks.
