Just noticed that there is a track called "Musica Ex Machina" on Bartos' new album:

(and yes, Marr & Sumner seem to get a co-write, even though Bartos wrote most of the music to this anyway - he played it live with Elektric Music in 1994 - it was called "Bombast" then)

Am I the only one intrigued by alternate titles? Check http://www.new-order.net.../facs/workingtitles.html and http://www.feeleverybeat...melodymaker20may1995.jpg ... I went a little nutsy over http://forums.neworderon...essage&t=878&f=4 18.10.99 (working titles e.g. Deepest Sea to Vicious Streak? Dumped tunes??) but 'twas a hoax.

Thank you Sir. Yet again the vague possibility of Electronic returning...?
PS Fascinating fact: 'Off The Record' was one of the hoax titles for what turned up on Get Ready as I mentioned in a previous post.
PPS Another fasinating fact: 'Stop' was the first Spice Girls single not to reach Number One. It's quite a coincidence that the track was called 'Stop' and it did indeed... Oh fuck off.

Very vague, I reckon you're talking years and years yet. Marr is currently enjoying a bit of a renaissance now that the kids at the NME have Wikipedia'd The Smiths and Sumner will be busy with his popular beat combo New Order for some time doing this new album, then promoting it etc etc.

And we all know that takes them frigging ages, Hooky or not.

Well yeah, with Marr ensconced in his acclaimed LP and Bernard's notoriously, um, leisurely working process (New Order tour and album, plus those aborted - ? - Stu Price and BL projects...) it's hardly gonna happen soon, if at all. I just find it interesting that Electronic was never definitively knocked on the head, and - as I mentioned in previous threads - every now and then there's the suggestion of a future...
