According to super site http://feeleverybeat.co.uk there is an exclusive 5:02 "edit" of Lucky Bag that appears on the UK 7" of Getting Away With It: http://feeleverybeat.co.uk/songs/luckybag.htm

This version has never been digitally released anywhere.

My question is this (and perhaps a kind won't mind wasting a few minutes to educate me here):

* Is there anything special about this mix?
* Is it an early fade?
* Are there any unique parts or sequences that appear on the UK 7" that isn't the same as the longer, 5:45 "single version"?
* Can a section of the 5:45 "single version" be edited down to achieve the 5:02 "edit"?

As this is one of my all-time favorite Electronic tracks, I'd finally love to get down to the bottom of this.

As always- thanks in advance for any insight.

I'm pretty sure, from memory, that the longer version does have some unique sequences in it, when compared with the shorter version. I can remember feeling tickled by the longer version, so it's worth hunting down.

When I was a wanky teen (as opposed to a wanky 40-year-old) I listed every track from '77 to the present and decided which was my favourite take for a compilation. Sad I know, but you do that when you're an adolescent. Anyway I decided my favourite Lucky Bag was the Miami Edit (from the remix release and Select's Factory tape) simply cos of those initial synth stabs. Incidentally some of the GAWI remixes are quite nice too, even if this was never one of my personal preferred songs.
