Probably one just for the UK, but does anyone remember the TV sketch show "Newman and Baddiel in Pieces" with David Baddiel and Rob Newman of "That's you, that is" fame?

I was busy on yet another collecting and cataloguing exercise (I need to get out more) when I discovered a sketch that starts at the beginning of the segment below (but if you want to skip straight to the good bit, it's at approximately 3:00).

That's "The Eternal", that is..! Smile

P/S if someone can tell me how to post YouTube clips directly into here, I'll be "Eternal"ly grateful (groan).

Happy Christmas, everyone!

Pete

Do you mean: how to embed a youtube vid?

If so, go up to the [BB/] icon above your post instead of the link icon you've probably been using.
When you click on it, youtube is one of the options shown. Select that option, then copy and paste the youtube address so that it's in between the two [YOUTUBE] thingys that should now be on your screen, hit enter, and bingo.

Yeah Baddiel plays a few notes of The Eternal . I actually thought this was going to be something else JD related that I'm sure it was them that did once where somehow in a sketch they had a bit where they took the piss out of Ian Curtis and had a brief bit where they showed a hanging dummy of a man soundtracked by a crappy version of the LWTUA bassline . I'm sure it was Newman And Baddiel though i maybe wrong it was so long ago, it was on some comedy sketch show from around that time anyway (1992 ish). The Newman And Baddiel show was funny though back in the day.

Anyone got the "Mary Whitehouse Experience" Encyclopedia? At the back of the book it has a list of FA Cup and Division 1 champions and has Stoke City down for most of them.
