Same show/mastering as was previously available on The New Order Archives until it was shut down the other week.

Good gig. Warners probably won't be happy tho. Imagine they'll all get pulled before too long.

Got a meesage from YouTube about stuff I posted. Yeah, the first person to comment made mention that a certain song was unavailable until I posted it. So I get a message. Says that my status is good with YT but there may be adverts on my uploads. 2 have adverts. Frown

There's a few Joy Division gigs as well, some including sound checks.

Hi, I am the one that has been uploading those audio gigs on youtube under the name 'LivinWorstNightmare' I just wanted to say thanks, and I'm glad that people are enjoying them. When I came across them I just had to put them up there, they sounded so perfect.

If you liked Thieves Like Us there, you'll love it on this version, this is probably the best show I've come across so far.

I also have the '89 Scotland show, this one in particular I found special for having the song 'Run' and is dominated by the Technique songs.

Another awesome HQ from the Technique tour

Here is a great show from the '87 tour, that has a wonderful set list

I've got several more shows that I probably will not upload like this as they are not in the best of quality, but as I find them, I upload them. Only the best that are worth the trouble of squeezing into something over an hour long feature, and even editing an album cover. I didn't do all of these covers but I did the one in the '89 Glasgow show.

Great recordings indeed, and much better than watching multiple videos.
Hooky and Barney sing Shellshock like best buddies in the Hollywood one, quite amusing. Wink

As much as I love new order (and I know people say its part of the charm) I gotta say, after listening to these bootlegs, that Barney is so ropey when it comes to live performances. Forgets the words, comes in too early, bum guitar notes and chords, bad feedback, etc.

Whereas hooky still manages to pull of great bass playing. I guess there's times when hooky hasn't performed well but generally he raises to the occasion.

Just my thoughts. New order have obviously become a lot more accomplished since the 90's. that might equal dull to some folk.

Hooky even managed to pull a Sting even when clearly doped, but perhaps that's precisely what made him try. LoL
You can see it in some of these full audio gigs, he plays some rather difficult basslines like Subculture and sings along.

If you wanna hear pure perfection, see the 2 tenors. If you want to experience a great rock concert, see New Order. warts and all the charm often lies in the screw ups!

Dicked around with my new bicycle video camera and mixed in the lp intro to 586 then uploaded to YT. Before YT's editing process was completed the bugger was identified and tagged! Damn they are fast! I even gave NO credit at the intro.

True, they could al fuck up, hooky as much as anyone else, but that's what made them great, rough and ready but with a massive amount of energy and soul and love for the music they were playing.
