Where will you go off to instead?
I'm not Johnny James (please see comments above, Mr Z) but I vote: Reddit.
Why? because Reddit is a 'specialist' kinda place where people go to discuss a particular subject (such as a band). Contrast that with Facebook where NO posts just become part of someone's casual FB feed.
Also musicians -includng Peter Hook- have done AMA's (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit.
I don't really know where else is appropriate unless you do a Discord group, but the problem with Discord is that comments just kinda fly up the screen and get lost when new comments are made. It's fine for say, a listening party, but not so great for having subjects/threads that are easy to go back to, AFAIK.
As for Telegram, i think that's way too private.
(I'm happy to be corrected on these thoughts, I'm just spitballing here.)
Also I hold a grudge against Facebook for decimating this place!
There are
some very knowledgeable people in the NO FB groups (some people from here for e.g), but the general low level of the posts can be a bit tedious and repetitive too.
So, Reddit.
