"I've Got A Feeling" is the single that was taken from Monaco's selftitlled second studio album. Now for the first time this single will be available on (12") vinyl, together with 3 other tracks taken from the original CD-single. Monaco was a side project (1995-2000) of New Order bassplayer Peter Hook, together with David Potts, the only remaining member of Revenge. Hook’s distinctive pulsating bass lines united New Order’s marriage of post-punk and pop, creating an identity so recognizable that these Monaco tracks can easily be mistaken for tracks by New Order. This extremely limited edition (only 500 individually numbered copies) 4 track EP will be releases as an one-sided 12" with an UV photo print on the B-side. Exclusive for Record Store Day 2025 https://www.recordstoreday.co.uk...27ve%20Got%20A%20Feeling

Interesting.
I have the original CD single. The 4th track is the video for "I've Got a Feeling".

The 4th track will probably be the full version (album version)... |

An instrumental also exists... https://www.discogs.com/release/...72-Various-InstrumentalsThis has got to be a precursor to the 2nd LP finally getting a vinyl release (good news). Same label as the recent MFP reissue which makes sense.

From the 4:16 duration it looks like the full length instrumental as opposed to the slightly shorter fade/edit on the Warner/Chappell Instrumentals CDr I linked, which clocks in at 3:59.
The standard album version is 4:36, but from 4:15 to its conclusion has this segue into the beginning of A Life Apart, so the timing makes sense.
Curious to know if the instrumental will be released digitally, they have already reissued the standard CD single tracks on Qobuz. Alas, RSD releases are usually not offered digitally or at least not until sometime after.
Pottsy has a strong presence on Bandcamp reissuing most of his solo stuff, as well as new tunes. It would be great to see Monaco take a similar route and chuck in a compilation of rarities and demos.
2025 appears to be the year we're getting the 2nd album on "wax" tho?

So the blurb says Originally Posted by: Like No Other "4 track EP will be releases as an one-sided 12" with an UV photo print on the B-side. (RSD's grammar is dodgy, using "releases" instead of "released" and using "an" instead of "a", twice) Then the picture lists the tracks as: two tracks on Side A and two tracks on Side B Originally Posted by: Mr. Disco Mind you, if the picture of the vinyl is accurate, it does appear to be all four tracks on one side. Ok, that's enough pedantry from me for today.

"Barfly" is quite good. The acoustic guitar riff after the chorus is lovely.

It reminds me of the original "Green Death" flavoured NyQuil. BuzzFeed.com

Anyone pick it up? Look's to have sold out most places. Thought it might be similar to TOT Tasty Fish release last year and not sell out.

I ordered a copy online from Banquet Records on Monday evening. They had about 20. Within 15 minutes they were all gone.
Hate to sound cynical but I did RSD 10-15 years ago when it was exciting and new, but I simply cannot be arsed queuing for hours with people who are more than likely to be resellers.
I love record shops and support them in any way I can "normally" throughout the course of a year, so my conscience is reasonably clear.
Discogs has a good amount of the Monaco EP for sale on their market place, most from countries like Netherlands and Greece if you're willing to pay international shipping.
Due to the amount of orders Banquet are processing plus the bank holiday, I don't expect mine to arrive for 1-2 weeks, but that's fine.
Still haven't gotten around to getting last year's Tasty Fish 12", but I note it didn't exactly become the rarity some RSD releases achieve.

Banquet now says 8 copies still available so going to keep an eye on them as RSD vinyl always seems overpriced to me, Tasty Fish now going for £10 - £15! Did RSD over the last few years as was really lucky to have a shop in my small local town and wasn't a massive queue but unfortunately closed down a couple of years ago. Would have to be an exciting NO release to join the Swifties in the queue which is highly unlikely. Do think NO could release some interesting rare tracks never been on vinyl as RSD releases however but again unlikely to happen.
