Thomas Vangarde is actually Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk and Stardust (ooh baby, feels like Music Sounds Better With You).

Vangarde is a nom-de-plume that his dad used. His dad, known publically as Daniel Vangarde, was a music artist in the '60s and a disco producer in the '70s - for people like Gibson Brothers, Ottawan and Sheila B. Devotion.

Anyone remember Hands Up and D.I.S.C.O. by Ottawan?

Why Bangalter has chosen to use his dad's artist/producer surname here, I don't know. Are these tracks gonna sound like '70s disco?
Is Monday To The Moon gonna sound like a certain NO track with Monday in the title?
Anyway Linus, they better be good, cos you've got me excited for them now too!

I think we used to "dance" to these at 80s school discos. Possibly one of the "row the boat" on the floor routines but could be wrong.

Well it's Friday in Europe so the album is out. I wouldn't have guessed that Thomas Bangalter ("Vangarde") was involved with either of these.
At first listen, I mightn't notice that Hooky was involved either.
Monday To The Moon definitely has a Kraftwerk groove to it, but doesn't sound like BM.

Über_All (feat. Peter Hook & Thomas Vangarde)

The one track on the album that jumps out at me so far is this one featuring Boris Blank of Yello and Emile Shult who was involved with Kraftwerk.
