@Muffy I can confirm Huntsman is alive, well and still hopped up on Pringles. Takes a passing interest in the latest things "New Gordon".

"Be A Tomato Not A Potato" didn't quite lure him out of his den.

Ah, that's good. Pass on my regards to the old cat, i'm glad he's still loose on the streets.

Well this thread seems to have brought some of the old names out of the woodwork.
Welcome back of course, perhaps we should kill the fatted calf for y'all (no I don't mean Bernard, he's too old to be a calf).

I mean it's got to be better than those FB groups where someone just randomly types a line of NO lyrics and gets 96 likes or summat.
Or someone posts the video for Crystal and says "haven't seen this before, why do they have The Killers name on the kick drum?".

Oh wow, really? Good to know. Thanks Mick. Yes i remember the "Evening Ron" thing. It was always morning in Australia when everyone on here in UK was in evening.I guess it still is, until the earth shifts on its axis or something.

The good old days, the heyday was IMHO in mid-90s with the NOOL day and the cover albums by NOOLers bands? And all the Order meetings (I couldn't attend becasue I'm too far south). And the US tour. Ironic as New Order's output at the time was quite shite!

Mid 90s? Are you sure? I'm sure this forum didn't exist then. I think the old Temptation forum didn't exist before 98-99. Basically ancient pre history. Then i think in 2001 Neworderonline was created and which existed in that form until 2012 when it basically broke down and became unrepairable so Spotnick created/moved to what we presently have here.

Yes of course, it should have been mid-00s, Sirens era, sorry for the typo.

Yes we had a good craic over the years as a result of this forum and its predecessor, met so many top people thanks to this place.

You'll be glad to know that there is to be another NOOL gathering, in London later this year, which will be Jeff's Valhalla and will feature a gig from Neu Order (you might recognise them as former members of both Digital and Re:Order) and hopefully some special guests that I am still working on. Date TBC but it's likely to be in the summer and either at the Dublin Castle or the Lexington. There will be a load of publicity for it shortly once the date is confrmed, and while I don't think we will get people from 26 different countries coming like we did for NOOL Blue Saturday in 2006, I would still hope we'd get a good turnout for the Texan Name Changer. Watch this space!
