Was this worth starting a thread for? Well, I didn't know where to put it...
Listed for £11.99 in the link in the above tweet. I saw it listed for £16.99 on a Facebook link. Are facebook users more gullible than twitter users?
Two different covers, presumably because they think all NO fans are gullible enough to buy it twice!

Came on here to mention this magazine. My wife's going into town later and will try and get a copy from WHSmith's (they still exist don't they?; it seems kind of quaint, buying physical magazines, these days). Originally Posted by: GotBlueEyes Peter Hook speaks out??

I got it today.
Not read any of the articles yet, but it's colourful and looks pretty decent. I wonder how much of it is 'new' and how much is recycled from other articles featured in the magazine previously (or other publications). Not sure until I read it properly.
It was off to a good start, with a rather nice photo of Bernard with the Vox Phantom that I don't think I'd seen before (or, at the very least, not very often). But, flicking through, most of the other photos are ones you've seen many times before.
Still it's pretty reasonable and not much in the way of adverts (only a handful, all for other 'Classic Pop' issues).

Had a flick through it in WH Smiths. It does look really good with the layout and use of photos but i didn't buy. Edited by user 20 January 2023 15:54:40(UTC)

I was less than interested by the prospect of yet another re-hashing of our heroes' miraculous tale but the notion that "Peter Hook Speaks Out" is in any way a selling point, let alone one worthy of an "Exclusive!" lead is risible beyond my threshold for bullshit recycling.

Looks ok but nothing new and seems Hook based. There is a great photo of him on the inside back cover in what looks like pointy cowboy boots in 1979. Once seen, never forgotten.

If both had been in the shops, I might have been tempted to buy both (sad, I know). But I wasn't prepared to separately order a JD one and pay shipping etc. All for the same magazine.
If I had to pick, I'd always go with a New Order one over a Joy Division one.
I always get a little annoyed that JD magazine covers invariably just feature Mr Curtis. Apart from the obligatory Cummins' bridge / Corbijn tube station shots, publications just mostly seem to ignore the rest of the band in images.
