Like the subject line says - tickets cost £16.50 or something, from here: https://www.axs.com/uk/e...rder-live-stream-tickets

Cheers!
I might give it a look, seen as if I've decided that I'm not going to go now myself.
Still haven't received my ticket from TicketMaster yet. Seems late.

If UK covid cases keep rising, it might end up being a streaming only gig...

It's not an especially complex track but it sounded surprisingly well rehearsed, considering it was a one-off. The crowd loved it, actually.

My dreams normally involve the use of Mel C and a shower attachment. Fucking expensive just to see what you're missing, especially cos it'll probably turn up later.

Although I normally wouldn't have a problem with paying for this, it does seem a bit steep.
The fact that I'm going to effectively waste my £65 ticket (my choice, admittedly) is making me think I might wait and see if anyone else captures the stream.
Don't really want to have to fork out another £16.50, if I can help it.

I’ve had bad experiences of paying for livestreams in the past. Don’t know if any of you remember the Manchester Apollo gig in November 2005 was livestreamed and cost £5 ( peanuts I know). I stumped up the fee but on the night the stream went down for much of the gig , only getting back online for the last song if I recall. Weirdly, about 6 months later I was randomly out of the blue charged the £5 again! Weird eh? And a little infuriating too.Never did manage to get the second £5 charge back or even the first which I could argue I should of seeing as I only saw a bit of the stream that night in the end. Some months later I did receive a DVD of it from someone (maybe Digi Mike?) who had managed to watch and capture the whole stream so that placated my anger a little. Still, it was weird to get charged the £5 a second time , months later.
Not sure I’ll bother with the 02 gig stream.

Not going to bother with this. Can see an actual live band for less than this at my local venue, plus it's bound to be the same set as 'Education, Entertainment, Recreation' but with 'Be A Rebel' thrown in.

Thanks I’ll make a note of that website for future disputes. If I recall , the 2005 incident you somehow paid through sending a text and I guess it was added to my phone bill. The reason I think that was how it was done is because I think how I found out I had been charged again was when I received a text 7 months later saying something like “ congratulations, you have access to the livestream of New Order at Manchester Apollo and here is your code xxxx You have been charged £5 to your phone bill”. Never got round to complaining about it as it was only £5 and more trouble than it’d be worth. There’s the principle though, obviously.

Fair point, but if they rip a fiver off everyone, that's a hell of a lot of money for doing FA. There was a case out here in Italy where some bitch bank clerk stole a Euro off everyone's account. The few people who noticed didn't think it was worth complaining, but a Euro off EVERYONE...

Yep that story about the bank clerk rings a bell. Happened not so long back if I recall . Suppose in a way I can’t complain about being ripped off for £5 back in the mid 2000s as the amount of music I was illegally downloading for free from file sharing sites like Soulseek around that time was humongous.Karma or something I suppose. Fair point. Music used to be a notoriously expensive hobby but with the Net it's a free for all. Gigs are still fucking outrageously priced though. When my exes the Spice Girls got back together, everyone (actually, no one) asked why I didn't come. Well 'm not exaggerating but the whole experience would've totalled around a grand. Travelling, accommodation, just surviving - plus I ain't going to London for one concert: I'd turn it into a mini-holiday. AND I'd have to double the costs cos I'd pay for my wife too as she'd only be doing it to keep me company. A thousand Euros? Too much. And too much of one thing is bad enough. Anyway, after all my support, they'd should be coming to my hilarious stand-up sets. They'd be nowhere without me.

I'm still none the wiser about how to view this on my television. All I can find are links that take me to the site to make the purchase. Perhaps after I do that, all will be revealed. But if I'm stuck watching it on my pc or phone, I will feel cheated. Has anyone here purchased the streaming "ticket" yet?

The only watch to watch it on your TV would be to stream your phone or computer to Apple TV or similar. It's not like Pay-Per-View.

I hooked up my PC to my tv with an HDMI cable the other night.Just to see if I could remember how to do it. Can’t I just watch the stream on my tv that way? Not that I think I’ll pay £16 to watch the stream. But if I did pay can’t I just get the stream to my tv that way? Or am I missing something? Oh and anyway I seem to be having problems with my WiFi this weekend, possibly an outage in the area( may check with my provider tomorrow) so not gonna risk paying £16 if my WiFi is gonna keep going down. I’m hoping that someone with the technical know-how is able to record the stream. And share, of course. Edited by user 05 November 2021 17:11:46(UTC)

The livestream will also be available through Veeps now. Veeps say you can bounce it to your TV if you have "Airplay," or a smart enough Samsung TV. I might just hook my laptop to the TV using an old-fashioned cable. Not sure, but I think they might be *slightly* cheaper ($20? about £15?) https://neworder.veeps.c...d-4656-a4e9-c2e64708f82eEDIT: Actually, it works out *slightly* more expensive, about £17.85. Well I totally enjoyed that! I was able to airplay it to my TV with no issues. Nice that they pulled out a few surprises like 1963. Funny to think that in 2006 I flew to London to see them play at Wembley, and now 15 years later I'm able to watch a sold out show in London while dancing around my living room. Looks like it all went well and everyone had a great night. I didn’t go, kind of feel these days I’ve no desire to catch them live anymore, I’ve seen it all many times before and it’s now the time of the younger generation to experience NO live for the first time . When you consider how the band are now compared to those old 80s gigs it’s almost a completely different band. Same songs, though of course a lot of them are radically changed for the live arena in this day and age. And also interesting how they struggled to sell tickets for Wembley Arena in 2006 but now could possibly sell out venues the size of the O2 a couple or more times over. Guess their live reputation is a lot better these days.
Bet Hooky would have loved to strut around the stage in a venue the size of the O2 . Oh well, you made your choice long ago, Peter.
I might have paid for the stream at the last minute tonight but my WiFi has gone into meltdown. Ah well, c’est la vie.
Did Bernard impart any between song uterings of note from the stage tonight?
