They were completely shite and their “music” shallst never darken my ears ever again.

The funny part is that Hooky said he liked 14K cos he was learning to write simpler, more effective trax. When one of the glossies asked NO to list their favourite songs, he included it and the journo quipped, 'Peter! With you're Revenge Bside, you are spoiling us!' The hilarious thing is that when LTM did the publicity for the reissue, they quoted it as if it was for real. Yes, Revenge are like Mel C. Something I want to put to bed forever. Life's too short.

Not a lot of point, really. You two have made your mind up. Now you need to ask yourself, was it really worth all that energy you've expended just to say you didn't like something?

Slightly off-topic, but with all the Beatles / Get Back noise, the parallels with Repubelick are fascinating: Business collapse... Crazy investments... Band members moving apart personally (arguing) and musically (solo projects)... Even one guy pretty much taking over (Paul/Bernard), and having to draft in external musicians (Preston/all those dicks) as well as an external producer, who arguably swamped their style (Macca disliked the orchestra and NO fans sorely missed the bassy edge)... Plus an ambiguity over whether it was their swansong: Let It Be was the last one the Beatles released but not recorded; Republic was heavily rumoured to be the end and felt that way for years, and it was the last album they toured with the 'classic' line-up. The only difference is that Republic is total and utter fucking shit.
