I suspect he took on more than the lyric writing. We know that Crystal and Unlearn This Hatred were originaly written for (or given to) other projects by Bernard, then re-tooled as NO songs. The credits on the NO recordings will list the whole band as writers, but in truth the whole band didn't write those songs. I suspect even back in the days when the "fab four" split royaties 25% each, Bernard was probably the chief songwriter. (U2 work a bit like this I beleive. Sometimes when Bono & Edge release a U2 song not recorded by the whole band -eg a session version/acoustic version- the songwriters will just be Bono/Edge, but on the band version they'll give a writing credit to the other 2 as well) . Am inclined to agree with this. Officially licenced NO stuff always has the New Order copyright thing. Incidentally when Hooky was doing his Instagram chats last summer he mentioned an officially licenced Hacienda T-shirt avilable form BooHoo.com. I guess since he bought the name at the liquidation of the club he gets any £ from licenced Haci stuff.

They really are beyond deluded if they think they're worth that kinda money. Some good singles, nearly all in the 80s, and a refreshingly fuck you stance, which they haven't actually exhibited since 1897, but we're hardly talking a Lennon manuscript or a Hendrix plectrum. Pricks.
