So many thanks Drew. The Hollywood gig is more than amazing. From 13 years old I used to go over Camdem Market and buy these Cassetes but over time they have been chewwed up. Thank you soo much for bringing them back at even better quality. Loving it! If ever I meet u I owe you at least 10pints!

Cannot say thanks enough for the work that went into mastering these gigs. Absolutely stunning. The sound quality is so good that they've now found a place on my iphone in heavy rotation. I was too young for most of these shows (My first NO show was 1993) but listening to these makes me feel like I was there. I hope there are more to come!

Thanks Drew - this is easily the most interesting news on here for ages.

Barcelona has been long time favourite of mine - looking forward to hearing the new version.

The Saturday Live BBC session from '84 is now up.

Always a favourite of mine that one (for Bernard's stroppy behaviour) and the new mastering sounds miles better than previous bootlegs.

Once again, superb stuff Big Grin Bernard persistently telling Steve to "speed up" during IALP is comical.

Thank you soo much for the Saturday Live rock around the clock recording drew. Easy the best recording Ive had. Its amazing I tried so hard years ago to remove the hiss using cool edit but although 90per cent was removed it was replaced with a flange sound. Excellent remaster im well pleased thanks x1000

Thank you a lot!! The quality does make a difference. I had a dozen live bootlegs and because most of them sounded so awful, I never really listened to them. What also always puzzled me is how in the world the Retro live disc had such a low quality - I mean it sounded just a little better than an average Pistols bootleg from 1985. Didn't they have any good-quality soundboard recording for such a project?? Apparently they did but God knows how it ended up so fucked up.

Bernard was in a strange mood in Hollywood: "You get so excited... I wish we could get as excited as you, Americans... You know, I always wanted to be American, like you..." - only a song later to tell the audience "Alright, motherfuckers!". I guess, first he thought how great it was to be in subtropical California, which was such a contrast to rainy, smiths-ridden Manchester in November. And a few moments later he got enraged just thinking about all the money they had been making only to support the Hacienda and see none of it.

For the first time I liked Shellshock (in its Hollywood rendition). Strangely they played the 3-minute version of Thieves Like Us. Everything's Gone Green on the Studio 54 tape is awesome. Sub-culture from Slough is great, too.

You realize how Peter Hook was essential to the whole NO live experience. He was the punk.

Wait till you folks hear Rollingstone, Milan 22 June 82. Road testing now, it's almost too clean for the old dropout-infested best source. Pant shitting will be a problem…
