Bought this at the time in 2015 and have only played it a couple times. Tried it again the other night as I’d bought a new stylus and pre amp a while back. Thought there might be an improvement with new equipment but no, it’s still bloody useless.Jeez. What the f went wrong with this vinyl edition? What’s the original 2001 version like? Was there even a vinyl release back then as vinyl releases were pretty dead and buried at that time with CD sales riding high? Also bought the 2015 edition of Republic vinyl at the time and that fares better for sound than the GR 2015 vinyl. Edited by user 09 April 2021 14:50:20(UTC)

The simple answer is because it's too long to fit on a single disc easily. When they cut it they have to lower the volume to fit it on.

^ Oh right, so that’s what it is. Thanks Johnny. That’s helpful to know. Next time I’m ever considering buying the vinyl edition of an album that’s fairly long I’ll check first if it’s a single disc.

Is there a known reason why the remaster was not released digitally and if so what was it? Thanks |

The original vinyl which I have is actually excellent sounding to my ears and sounds better and louder than the remaster, not sure why.
