Surprised that Bernard and Johnny approved that track as, again, it's merely the album mix with the instrumental bits repeated/moved around to extend it. Not a remix. The track it displaced from the UK single, Idiot Country Two was remixed (by the Stereo M.C.'s) and was far superior.

Secunted. I was a NO nut back then and spent many fun but frustrating hours tracking stuff down. This was probably the last I found and I remember how pointless it was - hardly worth putting out at all, certainly not on an official release. Equally pointless fact: My first gig was 'Lec supported by Stereo MCs.

The Dimitri remix of "Confusion" released with the first issue of Volume in 1990 seems largely overlooked, but it's the timing that I find intriguing: It came out around the same time as the Minimal Records "Confusion" 12". Was this intended for inclusion but left off (maybe for reasons of space)?

I Don't think they're connected - just a coincidence in timing. By another curious coincidence, the Volume mix of Confusion was also on the Remix CD I just mentioned on the previous thread.

...and I commented on that thread before reading this one.
Volume One came out in 1991, though. It appears to contain samples from Confused Beats from the original 1983 12", adding organ, saxophone, an 808, and extra percussion, but I think they actually used the acappella from the Minimal/Confusion '90 release and built a whole new track.
