'New Order retained the dreary goth-like sound nearly perfected by Joy Division for their debut album before finding their path with a more upbeat synth melody...' NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Actually that wasn't too bad. These things are totally subjective and you're bound to disagree with something. For example, Stephen Hawking's favourite Spice Girl was Geri for tits. Be A Rebel is clearly there just cos it's new - for the same reason Best Of US had Let's Go and Total had Hellbender. It's the same mentality that put Move Over Miss L on The John Lennon Collection: hardly worthy but they knew most fans wouldn't have a five-year-old Bside. Totally disagree with Repubelick, Be A Rebel, Hellgay and HNWYD (title alone should've warned me) though.

Yeah the #1 choice sort of invalidated things and the rest are bog standard "choice cuts" as our American brethren are so fond of saying.
A bit of a kiss arse exercise innit. Zero imagination.
No "Ceremony" really is unforgivable.

Any New Order Top 10 list that includes Crystal is automatically disqualified. Most overrated song in their career.
Yeah, this list is trash.

I was referring more to True Faith, Regret, Blue Monday and BLT that made up the majority of the others so should have phrased that most of the rest. I don't mind Hellbent taken on its own merits but it wouldn't feature in any top 20 (or even 30) list of mine. I love how he refers to HNWYD as "hard rock". Christ. All The Way is probably only in there because it has similarities to Just Like Heaven. The whole article strikes me as yet another "college rawk" enthusiast/blogger who predictably lumps NO in with Depeche and The Cure. Really dull. Edited by user 26 September 2020 14:27:13(UTC)

Dear Lord! I know these things are completely subjective, but that's a terrible list. I thought at first, it was going to be a person just listing the new single and the band's most famous songs. But then he went and listed some 'deep cuts'. Although I'm not going to knock 'All The Way', his other deep cuts are 'strange' to say the least. As 'NotAMod' has already mentioned, any New Order Top 10 list that doesn't include 'Ceremony', I view with extreme caution.

Yeah, anyone rating Smellbent and Hey Now Formula over Ceremony and Round and Round is clearly a knob. But no accunting for taste. I know someone who claims to have never jerked off to the Spice Girls, and I'm still friends with her.
