I saw this when it first came out - just before Reading. It annoyed me how camp Moran always acted. Gillian: Ha ha ha! I can only assume they mean Republic, where Bernard and Stephen Hague took over. I remember reading how they felt they were being 'taken for granted' and The Other Two LP got postponed again and again. Maybe cos it's shit? Gillian: Ha ha ha!

Moran? What, Caitlin Moran? Is that her interviewing? Never realised and that’s the second time I’ve watched since the first time a year or two back. Interesting to see a bit of Steve’s home videos that aren’t of a NO gig. Though not pleasant to see Hooky in Speedos. To answer the original question , no I don’t know what interview Steve and/or Gillian are referring to. Must have been some Summer 93 Republic era interview they’re referring to though as this interview appears to be from before the day of, or weekend of ,Reading 93 Edit: oh you mean (Steve) Morris ? Not the interviewer. So in that case it isn’t Caitlin Moran. Was struggling to be honest to make a connection that it was her. Edited by user 22 September 2020 10:27:49(UTC)

I'm pretty sure it's Caitlin Moran. I remember watching this with an aunt (really) and we both agreed How fucking irritating it is when people camp it up all the time. 'Lovely' is the key word. Like Fuzzbox Interviews. Next time I have an unwanted boner I'll think of that Hooky image. He's useful, after all.

Hey, you get to my age, they're never unwanted. Mine that is; don't really want one of yours. No offence. Thought it best to clarify. It is Caitlin Moran:

Jack Dee: I hate fat people. Especially ones who think they'll get away with it by being friendly. What's the difference between a boner and a crap other two track? The track could be unwanted. This was the period when the other two had a thing about writing Technique. Night Voice certainly blows my mind.

Night Voice certainly blows my mind. Thought it was the Republic album they wrote a huge chunk of? and Barney claimed he wrote all of it or something. .. or about the fact he supposedly went back and changed everything behind everybodys back? Trying to remember what Hooky said about that part in his book, at least in regards to Steve and Gillians original input. I remember Hooky going on and on about his, though. As for Technique, its so obvious Steve and Gillian had a massive part in the making of that one, though. Also, I dont recall any fights about that album. Apparently they were also annoyed that their Making Out ST was credited to New Order, but in the first series it didn't matter cos they were just reworking Technique outtakes. They're still crap, anyway.

As I recall (having just read it last year) the three of them had a great time working on it while waiting for barney - kind of apart, but they were all pleased with their output (and I think it's really the only time he isn't attacking Gillian). Then Barney comes along, rewrites everything by himself and crushed Steve's will to really be involved in the band after that

Boo Radleys! Great band. Enjoyed that.
I'm not gonna say a word against Caitlin Moran cos her husband follows me on twitter. (Not the best name-drop in the world really, is it?)
