Very tempted to order Mr Disco and Special.

Special is my #1 song in their entire history I wish they'd bring to the live set.

I think I've seen better factory logo T-Shirts - hell, I've got one!

UP has been done to death.

The Get Ready one is a bit too minimal (although I might like it more if it wasn't for the blotchy grey shirt that backs it).

Most of the others are just writing, and for me the Mr Disco one looks a bit home-made.

As I mentioned on a certain FB page, my fave NO Tees are the ones with imagery such as the True Faith leaf, The Technique cherub, the BM'83 record sleeve.
Writing is often the last thing I want on NO related product.

Nice fonts but...meh.

Never ceases to amaze me as to how few good New Order tees there are - given how iconic the artwork is

I ended up making my own Confusion and Blue Monday tees

As you probably know, It was the only non single off Republic to make the 93 setlist except EvEv.
Handsome products, but who the fuck would recognise Times Change in 2020?

Yeah, in 1997 I was lucky enough to stumble across a cassette bootleg of the Rosklide Festival. Barney starts singing the last verse too early, then stops, then starts it in the right spot.

I never got to hear that but I did know there were some fuck ups, and not of the fun 82 variety. Apparently It was on Montreaux too but not the mtv broadcast.

After my cyinical comments above, I ended up buying the "Special" Tee when they went on sale last summer for £5.90.
On the FB pages people were saying "buy a size smaller than usual, they're huge". Well they were wider than usual ("Gotta be a loose fit") but the torso length was identical to a standard T-shirt.
If you bought a size smaller than usual, you would have ended up with a shorter T-shirt than you normally wear.

Anyway the quality of the cotton was/is excellent. I tried to get the colour-bar shirt as well but it was sold out in my size...

Fast forward to 2021 and Peter Saville did another collection for Uniqlo. Not Factory/NO related but Louvre museum related. Mind you, some of these images have a strong hint of Technique about them.
Some sizes are gone now on the UK website, although it may be different in other parts of the world.

UK Uniqlo site

I ordered the white Venus de Milo shirt (£5.90) which arrived today. Not as baggy/loose as last year's shirts, but great quality cotton again.

MA399, a.k.a. the Venus de Milo, was used for the cover of the Academy VHS when it was first released in April 1989 - but that design wasn't done by Saville! They were obviously playing off the cherub and little Louis used for Technique and Round & Round.

When it was reissued in a regular card stock VHS slipcase he did do a proper design that didn't use Venus, so maybe this shirt design was a subtle dig at whoever designed Academy originally?
