That'll be April 1985, notice clips from programs that were only broadcast in 1984 (Play At Home 84, Rock Around The Clock Aug 84). Also, they were in HK for that gig at Canton Club.

Ah, yes. Something was telling me that 1983 seemed wrong, but just used the YouTube description in my thread title. Also posted it before watching it fully. If I'd seen the Rock Around The Clock footage first, something would've hopefully have triggered in my head.
It does look like it's from at least two separate programmes.
Pretty nice to find items like this. After all these years, with multiple fans around the world posting to YouTube etc., it seems incredible that previously 'unseen by most' footage like this still appears. Love seeing clips from non-British TV.
There's a guy that posts on one of the Facebook groups who has that footage from Belgian TV where Barney & Hooky play a charity football game. He is trying to get it converted digitally and will post it at some point. Looking forward to seeing that.

It seems that today is the day for rare footage from Asia to appear. This was posted earlier, by a completely different user. It seems to be a Japanese re-edit of the 'Rock Of Europe' Steve & Gillian interview. It includes Japanese sub-titles and additional linking bits with a presenter (sadly these additional bits are only in Japanese). Nothing really new, but interesting nonetheless.
Here's hoping that both users post more rare footage.
