So following on from this question asked on the Movement remaster thread yesterday:

Where I cheekily answered with the Daisy O'Dell mix, there are in fact, new legit remixes of YSF courtesy of Robbie Rivera. Personally I prefer Daisy's unofficial mix, but I'm sure those of you who like owning official (well, officially licensed) stuff will at least want to be aware of the existence of these mixes. Maybe.

It seems to be two remixes, each in long and short form. See Juno download. These are also available on Amazon and Beatport

I'm not crazy about Rivera's "Juicy" mix (with a title like that you know it's actually gonna be "cheesy"!), but the mix above (that's the short version btw) is actually quite enjoyable IMO.

So what's more exciting?
Confusion remixes
YSF remixes
None of the above

I think it's probably more accurate to call it a cover version rather than a remix. I can't hear a single note of original New Order in it.

Why bother? The original version is perfect, a thing of beauty which cannot be improved upon.

Yeah, it probably stemmed from Rivera wanting / trying to slip it into some sets. If I still had a house night I would definitely throw this in there.

I like the Daisy O'Dell version much better but they are 2 different things (obviously). I have no problem with Rivera wanting a mix himself. Can't stand the Juicy mix though.

horrible, just flat out terrible.

not even worth streaming.

disappointing coming from robbie rivera.. he could have done much better, with even a basic attempt at it.

So there's now a 10 (!) track EP entirely made up of YSF remixes by Rivera. 5 mixes, and 5 longer versions of those mixes, it seems

https://www.amazon.co.uk...f=wl_mb_wl_huc_mrai_1_dp

I haven't listened to a single one of them but none are labelled Juicy so they might be distinct from that one (but I doubt it).
