Both Bernard and Hooky have referred to WFTSC as a guitar album. In fact, Hook even goes as far as to say it was more a guitar album than Get Ready. I can see why GR is considered a New Order guitar album, but WFTSC has a lot more electronica than Get Ready; nearly every song punctured with it... Edited by user 31 October 2016 08:06:08(UTC)

I think because more of the songs on WFTSC were composed in an acoustic way, instead of sequenced entirely first. The songs seem more indie rock to me, than Get Ready. I don't think they are meaning in terms of actual guitar playing or lack of keyboard. |

IMO I've always felt that Get Ready had some Electronic(Marr&Sumner) feeling to it. I heard a lot of Twisted Tenderness influence in it. Anyways that's why I hear from some of the song on the Get Ready album. Edited by user 01 November 2016 06:42:30(UTC)

Wouldn't call WFTSC a guitar album.Bit like i wouldn't call Technique a dance album.Less than half of Technique is dance.Unless you regard All The Way, Loveless, Guilty Partner, Run and Dream Attack dancefloor stompers

Maybe the Working Overtime as the last track is such a guitar monstrosity that it overshadows the rest of what you've just listened to?
My least favourite New Order song :(
