Hi.

I wondered if someone could help me out.

I noticed on the following website a reference to four Monaco tracks that I haven't heard:

http://www.worldinmotion.net/newsroom/2001.htm

It lists The Wilding (for which I've got the Revenge version on OTP V2.0), Glass Box, Microbes and Smoothie. These appear to have been made available freely by the band. Unfortunately, the website is no longer in existence.

Did anyone download these and, if so, can they help me out and furnish me with copies?

Hopefully I'm not breaking any forums rules with this - the songs were given away by the band, after all.

Any help, greatly received.

Ta.

Hmmm. My very first posting here after all.

Why not doing something good for the community?

OK then, here you go. Oh, what a giveaway!

Two of the demos were released commercially under the Revenge banner on the 'One True Passion V2.0' anthology put out back in 2004. 'The Wilding' was retitled to 'Underworld' while 'Microbes' became 'Pumpkin'. Both on CD2 I believe and are properly mastered as opposed to the earlier MP3s given away. 'Pumpkin/Microbes' in particular wouldn't have sounded out of place as a b-side on a Music For Pleasure-era single; it's probably the strongest and most fully-formed track of the bunch. The er, other two remain unreleased.

Yeah - thought I recognised Microbes from somewhere when I listed to it.

All tracks are quite interesting.

I would rather like the band doing V2.0 for both MFP & Monaco; tidying up demos, compiling various b-sides / remixes and releasing 2-disc deluxe versions.

Here's hoping.

This was, specifically, my question to Hooky at the Bath Q&A.

He said he's got the tapes and that there is a lot of unreleased stuff. Unfortunately he is just struggling to find the time at present with the court case being so protracted. It is, however, on his (long) list of tasks.

It was at this point he stated he would be reviving Monaco in January.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwmmP5dj2qw (Who are these 'don't like' tossers? That guy in the wheelchair off Little Britain?)

If anyone else posted this I'd rip the pooh outa them, but I couldn't resist.
We need a Monaco CD of non-LP stuff:
The Wilding (Underworld), Glass Box (Happy Jack 2), Microbes (Pumpkin), Smoothie
All B-sides (Bike Thief, Ultra, Shattered, Coming Around Again, Barfly, 7th Heaven)
Live takes (http://www.worldinmotion.net/revenge/gigography.htm): Funky One (???), Televive, Tender
Live covers (Citadel, Failures, White Light / White Heat, DNE, Lonesome Tonight with Tim Burgess)
You Should Be Dancing
Hard Cock Rafé 07: Insight, Age of Consent, Sunrise, I'm the Greatest, Monkey in the Rain)
Roll Up...
Any more? Check this out! http://www.new-order.net/ot/gigs/ Guarddog, 3 Generations??? Any, um, Light anyone can shed?
Given the attention lavished on OTP 2.0 (which was bollocks anyway) we live in hope... Pumpkin is pleasantly reminiscent of a Technique / Electronic B-side: maybe it would've been the flip to the pulled 'Kiss The Chrome' 45.
Fun I had digging this shit out: 100%.
Possibility back in reality: -65780860746539%.
