Mark Reeders' B Movie: Lust & Sound In Berlin has had a couple of brief mentions on the forum previously. However it seems the film has only just had it's UK premiere. A bit weird considering you can already buy it on Amazon. And there's an expensive book too. I may have to spring £13 for the DVD.

Instrumental piece from "Restless" being played under continuity links on BBC1 recently. I guess the New Order fan in the BBC (whoever he or she is) is still very much an influence on the selection of these little musical interludes.

In kind of a reverse spotting - I was playing Music Complete at my cafe and a new employee asked me if this was New Order. He knew it was Bernard but didn't recognize the song. I told him about the album, etc. Turns out he is from Manchester and has been in the States for 6 years. Now we chat about music any time he comes in to work.

For non-twitter users: Click on the pic which will probably open up twitter, then you can see each picture in full by clicking on each one (if you can be bothered. I'll admit this isn't an improvement on UP.)
Oh, another one:
Shouldn't they have re-worked Orwell's Animal Farm for this one? Edited by user 03 March 2016 05:09:07(UTC)

Age of Consent being referenced in this track shurely? The ring-in singing along is all a bit Crystal / Killers too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qegzIy8lJ84Edited by user 13 March 2016 02:49:22(UTC)

This past Saturday I was in WALMART in New Jersey a very similar store like TESCO in UK and they were playing LWTUA in the background, so shocked I heard it in a place like that and it made me happy. |

This programme The Secret History Of My Family on BBC2 now has had JD 'Walked In Line' and 'Disorder' and New Order 'Murder' and 'Ceremony' (first version) and also some of that old recording of talking used by Grant Gee at the beginning of his JD doc. Used to similar effect in this programme as footage of old Salford is used. The programme is about families in Salford talking about their ancestors

Take 2 on the recent "Joy Division" spotting. The Vimeo upload got wiped, and then my post did too. Here's the video (uploaded somewhere new) by The Avalanches/The Was featuring about 300 films and TV shows (credits at the end). "Bernard" and "Ian" from Control appear at about 2.10 and 2.13: The Was.
