If you click on the review for the album the reviewer says about Nothing But A Fool:

"The more that Gillian’s backing vocals come in (and eventually take over), it reveals itself to be an incredibly beautiful song. Gillian’s vocals could have been used more on this record."

Oh dear.

He/she is also under the belief that it's Elly Jackson on backing vocals on Plastic though that's an easier mistake to make as there was misleading information about that around the time of release.To me it was obvious straight away on first listen it wasn't Elly Jackson.


Kendrick Lamarr and Surfjan Stevens seem to be prominently high in all these end of year lists.No idea what sort of stuff either of them do.Is Kendrick Lamar hip hop?

Julia Holter seems to be very popular in these lists.I looked up a couple of songs off her album - quite like what i've heard but i think her whole album would require some perseverance to get into.



Oh and that GIITV list is the only one i've seen that features Public Service Broadcasting's Race For Space album (at no 10 in the list) Am quite a big fan of that album, listened to it a lot back in the summer.
