I always believed that they would reform when they first announced a split in 2004. They just needed a break really. This time it sounds like they mean it. After Wonky and the tour (on which seven 'Wonky' tracks were featured -a reflection of the quality of the comeback), and then a film soundtrack, i thought they were here to stay. Alas no. Announcement

A shame. Was wondering recently if or when they were going to follow up the Wonky album but alas,no.They did a lot of great stuff over the years and Wonky had some great stuff on it also.Caught em live a fair few times and was lucky enough to be there at Glastonbury 94.Great live experience.Always loved The Box single and the various versions especially that one that featured the spooky creaky chair noise at the beginning. The whole 4 track piece has this intense, spooky and mysterious thing going on. Although I'm not as big an Orbital fan as say, Pete Tong, they did one brilliant track from the 2005 Blue album:

That's a shame... saw them live when they toured for In Sides and Middle of Nowhere... one of my all time favorite live acts

The film Pusher is on Channel 4 at 11.40 tonight in the UK. It has an Orbital soundtrack. Over 20 tracks throughout the film (bespoke stuff mostly, rather than complete tunes). Just thought you'd like to know.
