Hi all,
I'm putting together my own NO comps and I noticed that Temptation 87 from Substance sounds rather thin. Does the mastering on Trainspotting or the French version of International improve on it any? If so, which is the better bet?

Yes the mastering on the 'International' bonus disc is a definite improvement over the fairly aged one on Substance, in my opinion.

There is an even more recent mastering which (accidentally) leaked out on the 'Movement' Collector's Edition UK 2xCDR promotional set. They accidentally pressed the '87 version in place of the '82 seven inch version but this was corrected for the final pressing. I can't say for sure that it's "remastered" because the initial batches of bonus discs for those editions famously had errors but it sounds pretty good.

Hope this helps.
