Quote: I’ve got loads of New Order unfinished songs – every time I put a cassette on I go “F*** me that’s another one we dumped, That sounds kinda interesting Quote:New Order reforming without me stopped me collecting. And I wanted to get rid of it all. It made me look at it completely differently. I fell out of love with it. That is a pity..

I doubt there's "loads of New Order unfinished songs." Is he sure the tape wasn't marked "Monaco"? Edited by user 30 May 2012 18:28:04(UTC)

Is he sure the tape wasn't marked "Monaco"? If there were 'loads of unfinished songs', wouldn't we have heard about this before? It doesn't sound like he's talking about Lost Sirens. Even if these unfinished songs did exist, why would only Hooky have them? (That's the way it sounds when I read it.) I don't really think that there are 'loads of unfinished songs'. Quote:It’s a shame. But it’s quite nice in that it’s spurred me on to get rid of it all. Cos I’ve got this huge archive and it needs to go. The Hacienda stuff’s going to coincide with the 30th birthday. The Joy Division stuff will be going to coincide with the release of the book. Then I’ll do the New Order story. And then hopefully I’ll have an empty basement. I used to collect everything to do with New Order but now I don’t. So when's this sale of rare material?

"New Order reforming without me".
Progress; he's actually recognising them as New Order now!

My worry is the lion's share of his New Order collection might disappear into a private collector's stash never to be seen or heard again. That would be a real shame and unfortunately those with the big bucks rarely share, except with the notable exception of the Real World 1988 cassettes all those years ago. Hooky's gig collection is legendary innit? (Well everything up to 2011 ) Would be a shame to see it all go to a minted hoarder. Edited by user 31 May 2012 00:05:19(UTC)

"And that’s where my tape ran out. So I didn’t get a chance to say – “I’d put back together the best band of the last twenty five years and make up with my oldest friend…”"
You could have said it anyway, you penis.
