New Order in small print, below Soundgarden and Arcade Fire?? That's sad...

Actually I'd love to see them in Argentina but not in a festival setting.

P.S. New Order live on!

Let's hope by then they have something new to play or a cd coming out, that would be great.

South America must be easy money and a fun vacation.... why not! Maybe a less jaded audience?

Pixies are doing the same thing as New Order... past their prime and without the bassist that the singer has a long feud with. The new Pixies had the guts to release a new EP, and got slammed for it being lame.

And we've always been obsessed with New Order here! Big Grin

It's quite nice to see them playing here more times than they ever made before. After 1988 we thought we'd never see them again. Now it's like we were brit fans, we almost can see them on stage every year... Not the same thing as the old times, but they're still cool.
Cool

Ehh... Free concerts and vinyls as giveaways are exceptions, right? I never had New Order for free. So I think most of time they recorded albuns and made gigs to get some money, right? Anyway, music is their job, isn't it? (as Bernard sang in "I Told You So": "is an occupation I don't like, but it pays the rent and turns on the light"). And the difference between Hooky and them is New Order is writting and recording new material, so they're still looking forward.

Johnny Marr and Pixies will play on the main stages 1 & 2, while New Order will come up on the "alternative stage", the 3rd in the "hierarchy"... Bastards! I'm very disappointed with that. Are Pixies really less "alternative" - or more "mainstream" - than New Order?

Does it matter? If the alternative stage is a bit smaller, maybe you get nearer the band?

It's not so important to me particularly because I've seen New Order live other times, so it's not a question of being able to see them nearer or not. I think is more a question of respect with a band with a legacy and a bunch of hits too. It's quite contraditory because in the last two days the TV news in Brazil is talking more about the coming of New Order than any other headliner of the Lollapalooza line-up. So, it's a matter of merit.
