Thanks Bill! Do you think anyone who doesn't watch BBC Breakfast news knows who you are? Would it be rude to ask why you are Bill Turnbull? Fiona Bruce or Susanna Reid might garner more interest...

I went to this. Slightly reluctantly but it was my brother's birthday and he suggested we give it a go.Posted my thoughts on it about 4am sunday morning when got home but it was a drunken rant about the fact we got stranded in Brum after the gig because we missed the train and had to shell out £60 for a taxi home.Deleted the rant when i sobered up an hour or two later. Four of us had an afternoon/night out in Birmingham but two mates didn't go to the gig and DID manage to catch the last train leaving my brother and i to share the taxi cost between the two of us which i wasn't happy about at all hence the drunken rant.Mates eh? Tut.It was a massive combination of a lot of drinking , bad planning and bad communication though really. Missed Slaves Of Venus as i'd somehow forgotten it was Hook doing JD stuff. Only found out it was Hook doing JD as Slaves Of Venus and we'd missed it when we bumped into John Sludden and Lorraine in the venue.John informed me Hook had dedicated Sister Ray to Lou Reed so i was disappointed to have missed that ( though Walk On The Wild Side was played over the sound system in the interlude between Movement and P,C & L in Hook And The Light's set )Was good to see yer, John. Anyway, Hook and The Light started off with Procession which was good to hear. Great to hear Cries And Whispers live also. The Movement and P,C & L stuff was grand but the gig didn't really take off for me until the encore of Ceremony ( wasn't expecting that), Temptation and Blue Monday Oh and Everything's Gone Green was in there at some point too Edited by user 07 November 2013 07:23:05(UTC)

Didn't want to start a new thread but saw Hooky and The Light in Reading on Friday. Was really impressed! Had to leave after PCL as train was leaving but got moneys worth by then. Really tight band performance which I'd sort of assumed by others feedback but what impressed me most was Peter's vocals. Sub 89 is a small venue and maybe that suited the sound which was excellent. Good work Gents

nice jd set to start off. and a lovely Vikings theme in middle of 2 lp sets highlight for me was the movement set. all 8 tracks sounded sublime

Missed the Reading gig on account of night out in the smoke, shame cos then I would hAVE known Hooky was doing a short Joy division set. Went to Brighton and saw the last two songs of the Joy division set, when was the last time he was on stage so early. talk about a value for money gig that set + the two albums Fisrt time Ive heard Pottsy play the songs , not as razor sharp more a clean player.Enjoyed it sooooooo much even the daft twat playing drums on me back lol. think I saw Will from reorder, should have got up on stage m8 I saw my life in a trance
