And since the other guy is Barney that can only mean one thing. ;) Might there be a Converse promotional deal of some sort? You're right m8. Same they had with Adidas a few years ago. Wrong again Julio, They never had any sort of deal with Adidas, a "fixer" supplied the band with Adidas trainers, not just NO but other Manc bands too. Obviously to promote the Adidas brand. |

No no no, Steve. Maybe you think I am wrong but I am not. Have a look at Steve, Hooky and Bernard's t-shirts during 2005 and 2006 gigs and interviews. It's much more than a "fixer" supplied the band with Adidas trainers. Even Levi's Jeans have some promotional stuff with the band. Do you remember that prize on Germany TV? |

It was a great show, I think it's the longest set I've ever seen New Order play, I suppose now that Hooky is gone they probably have a bit more liberty to play a few more songs than normal? Iduno, but it was fantastic. The veneue was odd as I did almost fall into the pool a few times, I suppose at the pre-show drinks I had didn't help though BTW Johny Marr about blew my socks off with his set, a crowd pleaser for sure with all the smiths songs he played. Getting away with it was the icing on the cake.

Hi guys, first time poster here so I hope this is on topic. I attended the New Order show at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. I got up to the front and was waving a rolled up poster at Bernard. I managed to unroll it with the help of a fan. Incidentally, a gentleman I met, whose name escapes me, told me about this forum. I've been a fan for a long time and I suppose I never thought about looking you all up. I'm 99% sure they've never played in Las Vegas much less in Nevada. I saw them at Shoreline in Mountain View eons ago with Echo and The Bunnymen, but I digress. I figured the only way I could commemorate this beautiful occasion was with a gig poster. So together with a friend, we printed 50 4-color screenprints for the sake of doing something creative for a band I've grown up with. Here's a couple of pics. I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in purchasing one or if this is even the right place. I'm really proud of this and I wanted to share it with you all. Apologies for necromancy, but I've always wondered why a band would agree to such a deal if a substantial sum weren't involved. Let's face it, most if not all bands involved were reasonably wealthy, NO especially, so Adidas and earlier Levi's wouldn't be outside their price range, and there's only as many trainers one can wear at a given time. Barney especially did look as if he wore a uniform on more than one occasion (Australia 2002 photo shoot, Corrie BL gig to name just two).
