I read recently that Saville had donated some of his early notes and drawings for the PCL colour code to the Tate Britain archive in London. Anyone can arrange to go and look at anything in the archive, which is precisely what I did the other week. See link below. https://archive.tate.org...=CalmView.Catalog&r=((((text)=%27peter%27)%20And%20((text)=%27saville%27))) As well as sketches and doodles for developing the coding system, there was one sheet which had another code which he must have worked on before the colours and I’ve haven’t seen a reference to this before. It's based on a grid of letters and numbers, and the song titles would have been spelled out by drawing a line from one letter to the next. This would have resulted in an abstract geometric shape for each song title. I can send a pic for someone else to upload if you message me. Don't think I've come across a reference to this early version of the code in any of the books etc. Just wondering if anyone else was aware of this?
