Their second album after Jon Brookes' passing, what a shame. Hard to believe it's been over two years since 'Modern Nature' already. I remember watching them play a mini-set at Rough Trade East in London to launch it. Emilie (which Steve played on, on the LP) was a jaunty little track. Fully realized versions of Plastic and Singularity debuted live in 2014, so were likely began in 2013 or earlier. Not a stretch to believe they're cooking up tracks now that may not see release for a year or two.

Just fuck it. Pop stars shouldn't be 'lovely to have around', they should be snorting cocaine out of prostitutes' arseholes and making awesome music. 'Yerse, Sidney Vicious is such a sweetie, he always washes the dishes after our vegan casserole and perfectly-temperatured lightly sparkling mineral water, mmmmm loves yer babes.' Fuck it. This is like in the early 90s when it was all off-shoots, Hassie, Factory, one-offs etc. I always wished they'd just shut the fuck up and make another album as good as Technique. I guess they did in the end, but it took 25 years, inter-personnel problems and the Other Spew.
