Anyone catch this on Friday night? No me neither. Maybe it will get repeated or end up on YouTube at some point. Hooky did something like this before for BBC4, but I think this is a new one.
^Perhaps not the most flattering pic of Hooky in the second twitter pic.
There was a longer blurb on Facebook that went like this: Quote:Tomorrow at 9pm a new three part documentary series ‘Greatest Basslines’ will air on Sky Arts - and the first episode is led by Hooky! The series takes audiences on a hypnotic journey through the world of the bass, guided by three extraordinary bassists: Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order), Nate Mendel (Foo Fighters) & Melissa Auf der Maur (Hole, The Smashing Pumpkins). Each musician authors their own episode, deconstructing the iconic basslines that defined their careers while revealing the stories behind the strings. They also explore the grooves that inspired them, sharing the basslines that first turned them onto the instrument and shaped their playing. Joining them is a stellar supporting cast, including Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), Mani (The Stone Roses), Gail Ann Dorsey (David Bowie), Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath), Deego (Fontaines D.C.), Victoria De Angelis (Måneskin), Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd/Madonna), Krist Novoselic (Nirvana), Adam Clayton (U2), Adrian Younge (Wu-Tang Clan/Kendrick Lamar) and Alex James (Blur), who bring their own stories, insights and exclusive performances to the series. Tune in this tomorrow for Hooky’s episode at 9pm on Sky Arts, available via Sky TV, Freeview or NOW.

Just watched and really enjoyed it. I found it to be very moving, as it should be. The insights from other renowned bass artists are both amusing and instructional.
Many thanks to the fine gentlemen for the links!
